Tefal Actfry is now £109.99 at Argos.

They also have the £10 voucher with £100 spend making it £99.99.

My parents have one of these and keep going on about how good these are... So have been looking for one of these for the last 3 months and this is the cheapest I have found so far.

Quidco is also £1 for collect and reserve. (every little helps).

I have heard all the bad things about this product (http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2008/11/chip_pans_up_in_smoke.html)

But after the changes all I have heard is good things. The reviews at argos also give it 5 stars.

If anyone find it cheaper then please let me know.

My first deal post here, so let me know if anythings wrong.

Thanks

A good price, and an excellent way to make fairly healthy chips and other similar food.
#2

#3
Any offers on the black one?
#4
Great price of one of these, Ideal World are currently selling these at a special offer price of £139.99 reduced from £199.99. Heat and rep added

have they fixed these now? or should one live next door to a fire station if wishing to use one?

Old and outdated news, which keeps popping up every time somebody posts one of these at a good price (which this certainly is).

Check with Tefal, and you'll find that the Actifry was modified some time ago.

Hi,

According to the forums I read up a few weeks ago - they had issues with overheating but Tefal have now fixed this by changing the desgn or something so they dont overheat anymore. Also my parents have been using it heavily for the last 6 months and no problems there... I have reserver one for myslef, so will give it a test tonight.

I am aware they have altered the design to combat the problem but is this modification visible?

Does anyone know how to tell if I recieve a modified version or old stock.

I read somewhere that the old stocks were recalled and replaced. So I doubt that Argos would be selling old stock.

I am now using my third fryer. 1st one started making strange noises and was replaced. 2nd one made a big bang and stopped working altogether. Now 3rd one is making a bit of noise and i just hope it's not ready to go. Why do I keep replacing it? because we can't live without it!!!!! You can cook just about anything in it and it's easy to use and clean. If they have modified it I would say go for it, great price:thumbsup:

Been after one of these for a while, the 'burning down the house' issue and price have stopped me. This my well be the time. Trouble is after Christmas everything is cheaper, I may buy and keep intact and take back in a few weeks after Christmas if price drops anywhere.

Thank you for posting H+ R+

That's interesting. When did you buy the second and third ones, and was it from a fast turnover retailer like Argos or John Lewis?

I can imagine the outlet stores might have been supplied with old stocks, and that small retailers might also have old stocks, but bigger shops should have had the modified version for some time now. ;-)

I dont think voting cold for an item being cheap not long ago is fair! Can it be found cheaper now?

I remember these were going for around £80 last year this time but I didnt get it because of the poor reviews it got then... But things have changed and dont think its cheaper right no anywhere else.

Argos are doing a deal for 3 days - if you spend £50 - then they give you a £5 voucher and if u spend £100 then you get £10 voucher...

So its not money off but £10 voucher that can be used in another transaction

Got mine from Amazon for £109, bought the mother in law one as well. Both are still going strong. The only criticism I have of them is that the timer doesn't cut the power. Bit of an oversight there from the big heads at tefal
