Very good. I paid a similar amount a few years ago for a brandless clockwork timer one.

Why was this steamer £60 when you can get the same type for £8.79?

Probably something to do with brand name, the digital feature rather than the dial type, and any additional bits like the keep warm facility as not all of them have that. I was originally looking at a Cookworks one but the bad reviews put me off about the dial to set the time breaking easily, not being able to lower the set amount of time if you needed to, the whole steamer just breaking after a couple of weeks and the most worrying one was someone said that they bought the cookworks one as a replacement for an old steamer that died but took it back as after 45 mins her carrots still were rock hard :w00t:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed this one fairs slightly better, but all the reviews for this one were positive so fingers crossed.... Certainly wouldn't have paid £60 though :p

This looks like a bit of an inflated original RRP to me.

Don't know if the offer is still on, but I got a 3 tier steamer from Lloyds Pharmacy for £6.99 delivered.
It was posted on here recently
Only done veg in it so far, but they taste full of flavour :)
Absolute bargain, and very pleased with it.
