Tefal Fresh Express (The New Slicer & Grater off the TV) £41.99 Delivered @Makro

SilhouetteSilhouette

This practical little product means you don’t have to get the big food processor out when you’re faced with a huge pile of fruit, veg or cheese to grate or slice. Yet the Fresh Express is as efficient as its larger counterparts, but being so compact, takes up a fraction of the worktop space.

The electric Fresh Express is so simple to use. Slice cucumber in seconds, shred carrots and courgettes in next to no time, grate cheese in the blink of an eye, and you’ll be amazed at how many different types of food you can use with the Fresh Express.

Choose from thick or thin slicing, coarse or fine shredding, or grating; with five easy-to-attach drums and a zippy 150W motor, food prep has never been so fast! The clever design allows a bowl or plate to be placed directly under the chute for easy collection, and all the removable parts can go in the dishwasher for quick clean-up

Just taken delivery of one this morning. Not very good retuning it tomorrow. Should have read the reviews first.

Not really a 'grate' deal as cheaper on IW, but that aside I can't really see the point of this anyway, which basically seems to be a motorised version of those £5 'As Seen On TV' multi drum handle graters you get in places like Poundstretcher. You'd be better off with a decent small food processor, which will not only come with the disc attachement to enable you grate/shred and slice, but of course will also mix, chop, whisk, citrus juice etc, so avoiding the need for a seperate machine.Kenwood make a good one, the FP120, a new version of the FP310 I have, which is a very versatile and reliable machine (mine is now over 10 years old!), and only around £30, although to fine shred / slice, you'll need a more advanced machine which'll come with both course & fine discs.

Argos have the Kenwood FP120 @ £30.99, but you may be able to find it even cheaper. ;)
