Whilst I generally like Mr Oliver, his bloody merchandise is getting everywhere and anyone who buys this at this price has got to be barmy.

Saw one of his 'you'll never cook this in 30 minutes' programmes today, and he opened up a pack of Waitrose salad. Tut tut Jamie :p

Better keep an eye on her - likes a bit of scruff does she?

This price for a pressure cooker is just plain barmy!

How come nobody has a go at at the price of a WMF pressure cooker?
#20
I got this a few months ago from Amazon when they had their kitchen sale and got it for much less... There was a 20% discount on it... but the price before the discount was only £102.

I can confirm mumbojumbo's price of £89.46 at:
http://www.theatlanticshop.co.uk/CatalogManagement/ProductDetails.aspx?productCode=44550480 unfortunately it defaults to the home page so select small appliances the pressure cookers on the LHS to find it.

Well as it's cheaper, and it's not being listed as "deal" might account for that!

Best value pressure cooker recently has been the Aldi stainless steel one at 30 quid, saw one just a week ago so odd branches might still have them, although you would be lucky.

Aldi! Heavens above, what would the servants think?

Yeah, Aldi do some great stuff at sensible prices - none of this celebrity chef rubbish (though they do/did have some name I'd never heard of doing their recipes in the flyer).

This wasn't a wind-up. Saw it for £120 at a kitchen shop and we pondered buying it then. We're still thinking of buying it. It looks good, and has great reviews. I'd rather spend £100 on a good product that £60 on an everyday product.

I'd rather spend 30 quid on one that actually works, and still looks very presentable, as well as still being made of the same materials. As it's a pressure cooker, it's a very basic and utilitarian object with nothing more than a practical use that no-one would want to use as an ornament any more than they would want to display a chip pan, so not something most people would care about - I can bet not many people lie at night dreaming about the aspirational values of owning a decorative pressure cooker.
