I know not every one has access to Makro, but if you do I suggest you get one. They are great before it I spent an eternity boiling the kettle and whilst I waited the kids distracted me so I went back and boiled it again and yet again in those 2-3 minutes the kids did something else. I just spent my time and electricity heating water and never using it for a drink. Now it pours a cup in 30 seconds and I can drink it. In fact it probably comes out in 20 seconds, but i have a big cup.

Heads up for anyone who's after one of these. I bought one from Costco and took it back after trying 3 others within the week. They simply don't get the water warm enough. If you're after a brew thats just warm enough to drink straight away, then these are perfect. If you're used to a piping hot brew, then don't waste your time, as you'll only take it back.

Don't forget it only gives warm/hot water, not boiling.

Also taking into account the vat. It is cheaper from amazon delivered.

Cold voted..Like the water it produces.

Did I mention it is not a replacment for a kettle, as it does not boil water.....

Don't forget the water filters you need to buy for this..

Amazon must have dropped the price as they knew Makro was doing it. Before I bought mine I read lots of reviews slating it, but as Makro take it back no questions asked I tried it. I loved it. The Mrs has a sugar Thermometer and It produced water at 96 degrees, Not 100 degrees I grant you, but as she is a tea addict and if it is not strong enough she will bite my head off, I think this is a trial by fire and it passed when I bought it and it still passes now. I still love it 6 month later, In fact I have just checked the box and I got it 17/7/08.
I was going to get one for my mum on her birthday on the 12th of this month and post it to her, but the amazon post means I will buy it form there and get free delivery. Bargain. Maybe there are bad ones out there, but the original batch had faults I know. I am happy to buy my mum who loves tea one. I may even buy one for me as a replacement as they have to be descaled with vinegar regularly so if mine will stay functional much longer I don't know, but it has lasted almost 10 months and saved about £40 pound in electricity so it has paid for itself. Can't complain.
Infact now I know I can get it from Amazon I will buy one for my mum and one for myself. Just in the time it has saved me not waiting for me to reboil the kettle it is worth it.

I bought one of these a few weeks back and thought it was awesome for making my coffee, really quick and prefect temperature for my brew......BUT then I had a problem, sunday came and I needed to make some bisto, wasn't near hot enough and so we had lumpy gravy, had to boil a pan in the end...not good, buy a kettle!

Silly question, but I thought Makro was a "Trade Only" place!?
