'tis good as it says, I've seen one of these. £45 makes it more of a reasonable price too.

Beg to differ, as mentioned before on this site, it's a very poor product, it doesn't fully boil the water and takes way longer than the time quoted to dispense it (a tiny trickle). Also requires expensive filter cartridges and useless for preparing a saucepan full of boiling water for cooking etc. Steer clear!

Gets some pretty mixed reviews on Amazon - doesn't seem to be very good for tea drinkers especially!
#7
I would love to buy this... but ALL the reviews on it have not been good. Not only do I want it as it looks gorgeous BUT I would also love even more to have a great cup of tea, which it does NOT do :(
#8
I bought one & took it back the next day. Its as noisy as a percolator & it pretty much is a percolator. I timed how long it took to fill four cups & it was appx 2 1/2 minutes. The kettle took 3 1/2 to boil & you dont have to stand by it. Its cheap nasty plastic. Save your money & wait the extra minute.

Id read all the reviews which put me off but a friend got one for xmas and i was at their house the other day and was pretty impressed by it.

Yeah its a little noisey however i drink tea with milk and it was more than hot enough to drink.

Id remember its more than just the extra minute a kettle costs you, the amount of water people with kettles waste is a lot by boiling a kettle to get one cup where as this thing doesnt need filled up every time you want a cuppa as the water tank holds probably 5 cups, people with water meters will save money by not throwing so much water away every time they use the kettle and thru the lower amount of electricity it uses

I bought this kettle in November for my disabled girlfriend , her carers and me both think it is fantastic.
Although we have had to have TWO replacements and it is as noisy as a percolator we only do one cup at a time and she can use it ,unlike a normal kettle. So for us all it is a godsend and certainly does a hot cup of coffee.

This is a poor piece of equipment, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone at any price!

It's cold because it is not a very good product to throw your money on. It may be ok for some but not up to the mark for others.

I'm confused :? Isn't the point of HUKD to post links to hot prices, money off deals etc...

If I wanted to read unbiased reviews on the merits of a product i'd do a google search, or visit ciao, reviewcentre etc... or search HUKD forums.

Being a free country people can vote how they want, however when I come across a product that I may be interested in and see it cold I immediatley go to comments expecting to find some info of where I can buy cheaper or that deal has expeired or product out of stock, thus saving me time and or money, however increasingly all I read is 'don't buy it's rubbish' or 'buy a ???? instead'

Anyway rant over:p

By the way agree with you about this product:whistling:

I would stay clear of this, we got one an it went back the next day, water isn't hot enough and the filter seem to leave a kind of film on top of the water, give me a kettle any day of the week!

( i have not voted Hot or Cold, as this is a good price for a rubbish product)

They say honesty is always the best policy & because of that people are voting it cold for the reason they know about the product. You wouldn't expect them to vote hot for a product that's not worth the paper it's printed on (it's an opinion). Thier doing all the leg work for you..... saving you much precious time.
While you may go elsewhere to get reviews before purchasing, others may not & may be very unsattisfied with thier purchase if it was voted hot on a price basis alone. Nothing is hot if it is not good at it's stated function.

EDIT: If it were £20 I might vote it luke warm

Verry poor product, needs expensive water filters, produces HOT water not BOILING, **** for tea....

I could go on, £45, £43 is a waste of money, it will soon be in the cupboard with the breadmaker, doughnut maker, etc.. etc..

Im confused, how does this save you wasting water? What does everyone do, when the kettles boiled and theres left over water in it, do you pour the extra hot water away or something?

Myself I leave it in the kettle for next time????????? I can see maybe it will save the extra electricity yes, but not water unless im being really thick?

Id say most people probably empty the kettle when they go to use it again and fill it up from the tap again....

Most kettles wont let you boil ONE cup of water however the quick cup does

these are rubbish.

Real triumph of marketing over technology.

Per Which? "Our tests found it did start to give 'hot water in 3 seconds', although it took 21 seconds to fill our 250ml mug. It was accompanied by a loud (88.5dB) noise from the pump throughout – far noisier than any kettle we tested. Also, the average water temperature was only 94.2°C – ideal for coffee or other hot drinks but generally considered too low to effectively brew flavoursome tea."

If you want an actual kettle that is ecologically sound (god knows why, it is not as if kettles are a major cost in anyone's life, and anyone who needs to worry about the cost is unlikely to be spending £50 on a kettle against £5 on an Argos one), there is the Ecokettle, which can boil one or more cups of water using a two chamber design. The difference is that it actually boils the water and doesn't use fine technology requiring expensive filters.

For normal people though, this kettle is which Best buy

only £20

it boils minimum 500ml water. The difference is quite insignifcant tbh

And I empty the kettle everytime I make a cup of coffee as I do not like reboiled water.

I will agree the water is not the hottest ever but for coffee it is fine.

Any rapid boil kettle with the element concealed underneath should allow you to boil one cup (mug) of water.
#26
Must agree that HotUKDeals is supposed to be for offers, bargains, savings etc...

The product is NOT supposed to boil water, I dont drink tea myself but if I remember correctly to make the perfect cup of tea doesnt the water need to be above 85c but NOT boiling?

Incorrect, the quick cup does NOT boil water, produces hot water.

Whatever the science I always use a kettle to make a cup of tea & it always tastes best the hotter it is.
