Always fancied one of these, but the reviews said the water is not that hot. I like my tea scorching hot so gave it a miss. Nice price though. Does that price include the 15% vat?

Does include vat, £29.99 without. I always like my coffee boiling but I have heard people say you shouldn't pour boiling water on coffee cos it will burn it, but every one to their own:thumbsup:

This is our third one of these, because the other two broke. The novelty has now worn off and to be honest I am sorely fed up with the thing. It only ever gets the water luke warm, you are limited to how much warm water you can have at a time and it is so noisy, we have to rest it on a towel to muffle the noisy thudding it makes as the water is pumped out.

I have had to dig out the old electric kettle for boiling hot water; for pasta, tea etc

Sounds like a few bad reviews, but it's the price were looking at and to me it looks like a good deal, but only for those who are wanting one, same as anything.

So an item can be a piece of crap but as long as it's cheap it's a deal...:whistling:

Making two cups of tea are you? Simply hold this lever for 8 minutes while the hot water dribbles out. Or save your money and buy a regular kettle.

Looks like a Breville logo to me?

It's terrible. I bought one for my parents when they were brand new at about £60 and they had to take it back for a refund.

The water barely gets hot enough to activate the tea bag, coffee, sugar and hot chocolate granules struggle to melt in the water and you end up with lumpy drinks.

Only good thing is when you dunk your biscuits they don't drop off as the water isn't hot enough to make them soggy!

Don't waste your money.

Oh god the noise..I'd forgotten the noise. Mum couldn't ever use it when dad had been on a night shift as the thumping would wake him up in the bedroom-the kitchen was 3 rooms away!

£58.69 - Breville Hot Cup

Great idea, looks great on the shelf, and this is a great price too. Shame it's such a rubbish product - as has been said here before, just read the reviews.

Eventually, they'll bring out a model that works. I'll wait till then.

I got one of them last week from makros the breville hot cup same price £29.99 +vat at makros im happy with it

spoonfull of coffee in a mug....press button..walk to fridge for milk, pour it in as water still coming out, put milk back just in time for the water finishing, cuppa in 15secs, love it.

it heats the water to 90 degrees, i checked it.

I've got one and think it's great but must be one of the only ones! It's hot enough for my liking. It is quite noisy but you get used to it and it's only for a few seconds.
#19
I've got both the breville hot cup and the tefal one cup, the breville wins hands down. The water is boiling from the breville although it takes a few seconds longer to fill the cup.... It basically boils 1 cup at a time. The tefal is ok for coffee drinkers that like to drink the cup straight away... useless for Tea or for other things that require boiling water.

The breville hot cup was only £29.99 + VAT when I bought it from Makro.

what im saying is yes it has got bad reviews but it is the cheapest place to buy so imo its a deal if you are on the lookout for 1 of these

Quick cup is supposed to be bad but the new deluxe version is said to be much improved and gives proper hot water!! Also has tank which holds 1.7L so the same size as the average kettle. Anybody know of any offers on these? Model No BR306845.

I've had a Quickcup for about a year now, and love it.

Live with my girlfriend & we love tea, it is noisy for about 10 seconds instead of a kettle which is slighty quieter but for ten times as long. Water isn't boiling but I find you just use a bit less milk it's great, better for you too!

Just thought I'd throw my 10p in there as this is a decent product and don't think it's fair that there seems to be a biase against the product, disappointed customers tell 10 people, happy customers only tell one etc. etc.
