I don't know what OEM means so if someone has knowledge can you please share. But for a wireless arcade stick and HORI make this seems like a good deal to me.

The condition is New and Sealed

This is an exclusive Tekken 6 customised wireless arcade fighting stick produced by renowned arcade fight stick specialists Hori.

Note: this item is unboxed but is new and sealed in a bag

OEM usually means no box, possibly no instuctions or other retail packaging. It will come as it says - in a sealed bag only. Its probably out of a bundle.

Original Equipment Manufacturer. A company that produces hardware to be sold under another company's brand.

These don't look like bad sticks. Doesn't seem too hard to fit osbf-30's and a jlf. I picked up a SF4 TE from Gamestation for £40 the other day so wont be needing this... wanting this though, that's a different matter!
#5
These are light-weight.
If you can get a SF4 stick I'd recommend that.

They also do not come with the 2 AA batteries that are required to use the device, and they connect using a wireless usb dongle.

My 2 cents....

Rather not buy these if you're going to mod it. Its a nightmare according to some people from SRK.

You mean the madcatz one for SF4?

This stick however, is it the one that comes with the limited stick edition bundle for tekken 6?

Yeah I have both and also Hori sticks from various years...

There is a significant difference in the weight and what 'feels' like quality between the SF4 Madcats and the T6 Hori.

If you're serious about your stick I'd go for the SF4 one every time.
I regret buying the wireless T6 stick, but am joystick *hor*

Great deal imo.

I'm not really even a serious SFIV player let alone joystick snob and even £50 on a stick I'm only going to use on one game seemed excessive.

So long as you're not expecting the earth I don't think you'll find a cheaper stick anywhere - and I've just had a good look!

I totally agree, and it's wireless, which is rare for arcade sticks

I ordered this the other day and expected it to arrive as described, basically in a bag.

To my surprise its the full retail bundle. It came in an official XBOX 360 Tekken box, inside was the stick, the full Game, and a couple of books.

I'm pretty pleased overall. I'm not a big fighting fan but i do enjoy the odd game of Tekken and SF4 etc so this will do nicely.

Hope this helps

But there's a reason why wireless sticks are rare :whistling:

damn man £40 for a TE, now that's a good price!! Was selling for £50 the other week and I had troubles getting one, and sold out everywhere selling for £65! Lucky I managed to get a TE for £65 from Amazon before they sold out.

Anyway, these sticks aren't too bad but they feel flimsy. They are light but i am not sure if that's a good thing for a stick, personally i like a bit of weight on the stick. As mentioned they seem to be a real pain to mod so would not recommended if you've never modded a stick before.

As for the parts in the stick, it's fully Hori so no Sanwa or Seimitsu components inside.

At the end of the day if u are after a fight stick and your a casual fighting gamer then this isn't too bad of a stick to have. The advantages are it's wireless (haven't noticed a lag myself). Personally i would source a madcatz SE because it feels more solid and if the buttons or stick cocks up then it's easily replaced with real arcade parts, the wire is more than long enough and u never have to worry about battery levels.

Edit: Just to clarify I have all 3 sticks (T6, SE and TE).. don't ask me why I just went a bit mad lol

Not bad

This is cheaper than a Dualshock 3, in those terms it's an awesome deal.
#19
Does this work for SFIV?

Yes it will, it's just an arcade stick but don't forget to change the button setting on SF4 to "arcade stick".

But it only has 1 stick and no D-pad so you'll have problems playing an fps for example.

Just a thought :whistling:

Was that a typographical error and did you mean £50?
If not please can you the link the (former) deal where you got this?
#24
Oh wow, I'm really tempted.

I've already got a TE and a standard Hori fighting stick II but these are interesting...

I don't need it but I want it >.<

Good find (y)
#25
Putting a JLF in this is a pain as it's a too shallow.

The information you've been given regarding OEM isn't complete. OEM is defined to be the ORIGINAL manufacturer of the equipment. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer - there is nothing in the acronym that suggests unboxed, unpackaged or no instructions. It's as it says on the tin, the original manufacturer of the equipment.

Er what difference does setting it to arcade stick actually make?
I got my tournament edition about a week and a half ago and it's on the controller setting and seems to work fine.

I got mine for £40. Basically, I'd heard like everyone else that Gamestation were selling the TE's for £49.99. I went to my store about a week after the deal had expired on here, just on the offchance they'd have one. They did (fortunately), but it wasn't on the system yet. Meaning, it was as if they didn't have one. The guy gave me it for £40 cash so i got no receipt or anything like that. I'm competent with a soldering iron and know how to fix these if anything goes wrong.
#29
How does this stick compare to the hori stick amazons selling for £40?are they similar build quality and weight or is the stick that amazon have more robust
#30
If your talking about the Fighting Stick 3, then they are similar in terms of build quality. Plastic.
#31
It's a fine deal for non-UK'ers. Only add 4£ for shipping and apparently no ****ing around with "We don't ship this and that out of UK". I am no fighting game nerd so I cannot be **** about it, but it suits me fine in fighting games and MAME on my JTAGed xbox360. I think it's definately worth the money. Sure the SFIV Tournament is better, but it also way more expensive. Only real ****up with this stick is the placement of the buttons. Damn that ****** me off.

edit: yeah I like to swear a lot. A great way to emphasize the meaning.
#32
Quality i got mine delivered today for £25 but i got the Full Arcade Stick bundle with the game and book aswell, very good deal cheers

not much difference buddy, it will still work but the layout will be a little odd. My punches and kick buttons were all over the place!

Received mines today.havnt used it yet but had a look at it and the stick does feel a bit flimsy but as I havnt tried the street fighter stick I don't know how much of a difference in comparison.for anyone dissapointed that couldn't get this item thinking it came bundled with the game and book included as another member mentioned earlier on this thread,I can confirm that it is the stick only.I'll see how the stick performs later today and then decide wether to keep it or flog it on eBay.

Thanks for unexpiring..

Received mine today, I also confirm that it's just the stick as per the item description.

It's the first time I've used Gamestation and I was quite pleased with the small dispatch time (non-UK resident btw).

I'm pretty sure you meam "thegamecollection" and not "gamestation", but enough about that. ;-)

I can't believe this isn't any hotter. For this price it is a mucho greato sticko. Mucho greato, I says. The stick is just released in Japan standalone without Tekken art (yeah it's prettier than Tekken art and with colored buttons (me like)) for 100$ + P&P + Customs if you are unlucky

check it out:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dd-49-en-70-3syo.html

I know that "it is more expensive at other places" doesn't mean that something is a bargain, though many posters at this site might seem to think so, but this really is a fine stick.

Personally I think it rules that it doesn't come with batteries. I use rechargables and hate to pay for "one time" batteries I won't use - waste of natural ressources and my money.

Price has been raised to £29.95
#40
Argh they even raised the the "out of uk" shipping charge from £4 to £14.99
