Dont be fooled by the marketing, this is a 8800GT just renamed.

"Being the perfect combination of performance and price" erm dont think so, the 4850 wins that one...

The PowerColor HD 4850 for £109 delivered would get my cash over an unbranded 9800GT – Ebuyer.

If you take a look at the code on tekheads, you can see that it is actually an XpertVision branded card, just re-badged to a TekValue.

Cool - an Xpertvision 8800GT rebadged to be a Tekvalue 9800GT. That is some impressive badge swapping.
#6
sorry i found it cheaper by 15 pound
and it may come with two games
and it is a better brand

with only a 9 pound difference between this and the 4850 on ebuyer, this is really not worth it.

Well, if you want to get into specifics, yes the 8800GT is the same die as the 9800GT. However, it is based on a 55nm Die rather than a 65nm die, meaning the 9800GT runs cooler than the 8800GT meaning the overclocking potential of a 9800GT is greater than the 8800GT.

If you found it 15 pounds cheaper, did you post it?

I would tend to agree that the 4850 is a better buy, but I have been burned too many times with ATI graphics cards...

From what I’ve read the initial 9800 GT cards are still 65nm (re-badged 8800 GT) and they are moving to 55nm later in the year.

If this is the case, then Nvidia has just been lowered in my respect.

personally after dealing with company i'd go elsewhere,i had to chase them up for a refund which took around 8 weeks in total, and ended up paying a restocking fee of 20% as they supplied a monitor with dead pixels but there policy is not to give a full refund if theres less than 7? factor in the 20% and its always goint to be cheaper to go elsewhere
