hot. but people will vote cold because of Isis. shame, because the whole world is in threat not just Turks
If only it was just isis - think other factors include Syria being in civil war (more than isis in that equation), huge number of refugees and shooting down Russian planes has enough for me to presently not consider Turkey at this moment in time.
oh my. any proof. never heard such a thing.

Wow. So many haters. The last time there was a cheap Egypt deal posted, the haters were slammed for their negative comments by those that love Egypt as a destination....
... I wonder where they are now....
were still here but we've only just seen this post! ive never been to sharm and I wouldn't ever go either and it has nothing to do with what's going on now! it's too commercial! if my kids weren't at school and us at work I would book a flight to hurghada today! it's ana amazing place and even with what is happening I still feel safer over there than over here! random Jo blogs are petrified of doing anything because the Mafia police will just shoot them no questions! that is one of the !any reasons it's safer there!
It's safer in Egypt because the Mafia police will shoot you over here?

Not sure what you've been smoking but I'd stop....

reread it moron!

any good deals going to Syria?

Just tell MI6 that you want to fight for ISIS against the legitimate, internationally recognised govt of Syria and MI6 will give you a free flight to turkey, safe passage into Syria, a assault rifle, training and a mercenary pay rate of around £100/day.

Hahah quoting the dailymail as source.

Dear me.

Originally quickly voted very hot to very cold in a couple of minutes I can only believe there is temperature fixing by the site.
As pointed out and like any holiday there are risks visiting places and this deal offered £19(£24 all inc.) a day, I wish those who booked the flights a great and safe holiday.
What part of all flights to Sharm currently suspended didn't you understand?

Offer expired. Thank you for your attention.

.....and after paying for the holiday they call you back and say it wasn't a live price and the holiday is X amount more and if you don't pay it you lose all your money
Same thing has just happened to my work mate.
He either pays the extra or lose all their cash because teletext holidays overbooked the hotel!
use a debit card and then do a cashback through your bank
or use a credit card and do a charge back if the company falls to provide the goods/deal it promised you, as the credit card company protects any purchase over £100 as legally required by consumer law
He used a credit card and now trying to claim the money back.

I've recently used Teletext, had great bargain to Majorca from Bournemouth.
Just rang them this evening, Yes alway's extra's, but stick to your price and once they give you the Bully.. oh I'll ask my manager for bigger discount lol, Still say no not paying that price, they will feed you blah blah blah, very last minute say no goodbye.. then they WILL drop the price

Exactly this, jsut stick to your guns guys and it pays off

I booked with them last year and they did exactly the same with me. They tried to tell me luggage was £100 pp on top when I pushed for the airline they kept saying only on booking. I said I would go elsewhere, they caved. Airline was Ryanair, I argued that I would leave the luggage with them and book it via Ryanair, oddly enough it came down haha! But overall good price 10 days all inclusive 2a1c £800 transfers and luggage. Can't fault them to be honest but stand your ground. They will drop the price!
Load of sour grapes here. Enjoy the break

I was at this hotel myself last week. and only paid £250 each including transfer. hotel is beautiful, food and entertainment are ok. totally great vaule in my mind.
Ah that's brill. Who did you book with and what was the price if you don't mind me asking.
I'm going to this hotel in 3 weeks. reviews do look good. That price is good although we also got great price in school summer holidays.
Hello I booked this this evening. It totalled 225 including transfers to and from hotel each. So that's 450 for two people all inclusive in a hotel rated pretty well if you look at individual reviews.

Cost of holiday went up to £201, which is by far the cheapest i can find anywhere on the planet, for all inclusive.

This is my experience as well, its a destination for chavs, clearly going by the fact this is a £166 deal and still cold.......

Again, no Beach Snob would ever consider this a real Beach destination. Unless of course you are on a budget but what 'Snob' travels on this kind of budget?

What makes you think I dont know what Im talking about? The fact that I think its a bit of a sheet hole? Like Im gonna hole the viewpoint of someone that actually chooses to return there for a vacation with much regard is laughable. ;) I was being paid to go and I thought I was hard done by. :D

Cant be much of a Beach Snob if you holiday here.....

takethatfan1978
I have been to sharm 3 times and if I had hols to take in dec I would jump at this. I have to say though that I do always book hotels that have their on beach on site and refuse to travel to one(im a beach snob lol)but if you are not bothered by that then its a bargain.

I do prefer Nabq bay but for this price its good, bit chilly at night in December though.

No flights from Scotland though,or even Newcastle.

If you say so then you must be right!
By beach snob I mean purely for peace and quiet and not quality of sand/water. I have no interest in going in the water, digging sandcastles.

I like my own private bit to sunbathe which I have managed on the 3 times going there.

I'm guessing by your pathetic comment that you have never been?

I like peace and quiet wherever I go,had hotel/pool in rhodes to ourselves a couple of weeks ago as my mum is friends with the owner, great service and fresh food if and whenever we wanted it. What more could you want :)

Yes it is each to their own,if you really don't know what you are going on about then you really shouldn't comment.

Sharm is a big place, you have 'popped' over twice. Whoopee Doo!!

Nothing is laughable, the not knowing what you are talking about was referring to what I like re a holiday. There was no need for you to post such a stupid comment when you don't even know me! I was originally talking about the manky public beaches.

Sharm is a **** hole I agree, there is nothing at all outside the hotels. The only really good thing is the guaranteed heat and shortish flight time.
I have been 3 times always to the same place simply because it is quiet and peaceful for a decent price. When I go on holiday I like to read and sunbathe with as few people around as possible, there are some nice beaches there. Why pay more for sun and peace if I can get it there.

goldfish memory?

"Cant be much of a Beach Snob if you holiday here....."

The beaches are amazing as is the snorkeling.

Apology not required ;)

I have never travelled on that budget,it doesn't say anywhere in any of my posts that I did.
The 3 times I went I paid nearly £800 a person which of course isn't much to you but is fine an amount for me for a week.
Not everyone that goes there are chavs,I'm certainly not one.
You have obviously ignored why I said I go there, guaranteed heat, very quiet beach(the hotel I was at)and shortish flying time as I can't travel long distance on a plane.

This is a good deal for someone who wants a cheap holiday, just because they pay that amount for a holiday doesn't mean that that's all their budget is.
I bought a car a couple of months ago,I had a set budget but didn't need to spend it all, does that make me a chav? Of course it doesn't. I don't understand why it bothers you where a person goes on holiday. You have no interest at all in the holiday but you keep continuing to come back and post quite horrible comments. You come across as a very spolit child.

Yeah ok, glad my example amused you. :)
You are assuming that just because someone books this holiday that that is all their budget is,nothing to do with finding a bargain! That is what this site is about after all.
You have already said 'each to their own' so end of.
Have a nice day looking for posts to be annoying in,you obviously have nothing better to do.

I have found when I have rung teletext hoildays in the past, that the quote price was never available. Generally was based on a football team, and if you couldnt not meet the specfics for the deal, then they would enturn find tou next cheapest holiday, that was double the price. Hot as can be. This would be cheaper than staying at home, regardless of what the accommodation is like this deal is outstanding
Taxi is 49 Euros each way if you pre book on

But as already stated these teletext prices never exist.
If you search the same dates on travelrepublic the cost comes up as £423.96 for 2 people ( £212 each) for the same hotel and flights. They offer a shuttle transfer at £16.88 each return.

Good price, but beware Thomas Cook will only give you 29in legroom on flights to Turkey, which makes for a pretty uncomfortable 4 and a half hours.

We used this hotel last year for 1 week.(2 adults and 2 kids) Very basic food but ok. Swimming pool to small and no sun beds left after 9am. We went to beach every day which was very nice. Alcudia is lovely and we would go back, just not this hotel. (or you use it for sleeping only.)
looks like a total dump

Funny how you didnt answer a simple question ! Did you book it at that price??

Maybe because you dont pay that amount for the holiday !! That is a very good reason to vote cold !!

God this is a funny read I love the typical Thomas cook holidaymaker they fly to the places India, morocco, Egypt etc have no intention to just blend into the Place and then complain because of a little hassle , the word 'fudge off' is understood everywhere .. But did u know that

Take precautions, read up on the place, it's a well known fact tHat the visitor revisit ratio is low less than 10% return.. says it all really

I for one loved morocco and if I gave my local bus driver a £20 note to change he'd kick off too

I don't understand how some of you people just accept this behaviour and let them treat you like this.

You're basically being bullied by an 8st undernourished african!?

And I don't understand why there are so many ignorant racists around. I guess we're both puzzled...

All countries love the dollar for some reason. Except the obvious.

Euros seemed to be more sought after than US dollars. Probably because it's right next to Europe so there are lot's of European visitors (or maybe they just made the connection that I'm from Europe so am unlikely to have any dollars?).

don't like your paranoid attitude slim, that was a genuine comment , i phoned and that was what they offered. if you think that someone would go to the bother of joining just to hide their identity from you, you are quite sad, get a life.

Well you joined 1 minute before you made your first comment - speaks for its self!!!!!

Who cares when they joined? Anybody has the right to comment/question a deal if it doesn't turn out to be what was stated. No need to get so defensive about your deal, and for that matter, downright cheeky. Get a life pal!

Totally agree. +1
What do you want? As long as you can get a beer, some food, have a bed and roof, can swim or fish in sea, maybe even rent a vehicle, and the weather is better than here then what does it matter?

Let me put this in perspective, most people can easily spend this sort of money on a night out which results in being pushed about, a fight, vomit and seedy people and clubs and fast food shops. Here you are flying thousands of miles in a multi million pound aircraft in reasonable comfort and landing in a wonderful part of the world, and staying in comfort for 14 nights for £130! Are you kiddding me?

Edited By: thabiz on Aug 26, 2011 20:37: more stuff to add

will be very quiet around there and many facilities may be limited / closed at that time

August/September?? No it won't

Well I dont know your experience of the area, but I can only comment on mine as a rep living in Corfu a year ago, where the south of the island grinds slowly starts to a halt in to september, although some accommodation stay open later. It is the north of the island which is open till end of season (last day of oct) and the south has shut up shop by end of sept usually.

Went to Kavos a few years back with the lads. Great place if you just want to party, but that's it. Not really for couples either. Def not for families.
Kavos is a dive. Went to Aquis Sandy Beach Resort in Ag Georgios (South) a couple of years ago and drove down to Kavos for the day. It was dead and dirty during the day.
screw that, I'm going to San-Antonio for a week All Inclusive for £200 (ok so it's October but I don't have any more leave to use till then :)
Stayed at this hotel year before last begininning of sept. Bear in mind you'll prob get a bit of rain at this time of year it rained for 3 days whilst we were there for a week. The hotel is ok, fairly basic, pool is lovely, reception/bar staff fairly friendly. The hotel is off the strip itself though and is about a 10-15min walk into town and it is dark there are no street lights. Kavos also (sorry) street really smells of waste. If you do go, make sure you go on the BBQ beach boat trip they sell tickets down on the beach, SOOO worth it best BBQ i've had in my life and great day out provided the weather is nice.
think we stayed at that hotel couple years ago, was nice enough and much better than some of the others on offer in kavos.

I stayed here 2 years ago- really nice resort and the food was very good. Drinks were about £3 a cocktail and shisha in the evening about £5 for the night. I paid a similar price but that was in 2009!
Thanks housefan.
Wanted somewhere restful for my wife and I.
we have stayed in this hotel and it was lovely !,we also went to eilat (it wasnt very nice ) and had a great trip to petra ,the resort is very peacefull and not a chav in sight (unlike sharm)

Edited By: housefan on Aug 17, 2011 21:54
lol - back end of mars - ouch ! Well we want a relaxing holiday - and will do a couple of trips - to Sinai for example and to Eilat. I must say, it will be quiet outside the resort with nothing to do .
Nice beginners diving locations. And some nice spots generally for diving around (on day boats from the resort) For diving the , the best factor is the quietness. not many other dive boats this far up.
