Are these steam games?

Do they take paypal.

Sorry, i'm new to PC gaming,

I am going to build a PC in 2 weeks and want to get "Back to the future".

Also,
Can I get a PC which can play games at 1080p at 60fps under £400.

They do take PayPal and these are DRM Free. So none are Steam. I would spend more :D

Just wondering,
How much did you spend on your PC?

My buddy recently spent £1800 on a Alien Laptop, He saved up for a year to get it.
Is it true that PC gaming ia very expensive?

PC gaming is cheaper than Xbox One/PS4

For example;

- Xbox One/PS4
Price for console around £300-£329
Games physical up to £50 or more

- PC
A good system will cost around £500-£600
Then games digital download from Steam, Humble Bundle are way cheap especially all these great offers and don't forget Steam holiday sale!

I would personally never spend 1800 on a laptop unless i won the lottery or something. can't beat a desktop PC. the thing is if you don't know someone who can build it for you, or you don't fancy doing it yourself, then it can be expensive buying a ready made one. but if you buy all the bits and do it yourself a desktop PC will obliterate any laptop on performance and price (plus bigger screen, easier to upgrade etc etc) make sure to get a proper tower though (a big one, space for upgrades / more storage and most importantly to let the air flow better - get lots of good little fans too)

Anyone know if any of these can be activated in Steam?

Baffles me why some people (I assume a minority) don't like Steam.

PC games are on the whole cheaper of course but come on, console games depreciate quickly too and can even be cheaper if you know certain methods. The last console where I spent more than £35 for a newly released game was the Megadrive.

A gaming laptop will set you back more than a gaming desktop, and alienware are known as a bit of a rip-off. If I were putting together a "Mid-range" gaming system for someone these days, lets see... Case+PSU (branded) £100, Mobo+CPU (4690k) £250, Graphics card (270x) £120, Ram (8gb) £60, HDD (2tb) £60, Monitor £100, Mouse+Keyboard+Speakers £75, Windows 8.1 £25 (if a cheap key pops up on ebay). Might want to add an SSD to that too to make Windows less painful.

Probably pushing £800 including the monitor and all. You could knock one up for under £400 but it's not going to handle anything too demanding.
~£400 : Good for playing older games and indie games.
~£600 : Can get a generally decent system for 1080p if you skimp on a few things (case, psu etc)
~£800 : Should be able to handle most things mid-high settings on 1080p
~£1000 : Can throw in a higher-end graphics card and start moving towards ultra settings, AA and/or higher resolutions
~£1200-1400 : Can get a beast of a system
~ £1800 : Can get something about 20 times as good as an alienware laptop.

with the GOG Galaxy client next month- owning GOG.com games may become as valuable/ desirable as adding games to steam collection.

On Xbox for example there was a promo to get $15 of MS points for $5 which could actually be used many times, so people were able to get games for a third of their price. Since you could also buy hardware using the points you could also have gotten the XB1 for a third of its price :). I still have a good number of the cheap points which is great for sales.
