Good price as I bought one of these the other week for £65 :(

Be warned though this has a fan in it and so if ya want a silent switch this isn't for you.

Dunno why someone voted cold. It's a very good switch so far had no issues. Maybe a little overkill for most people but it's really not that hard to configure as 90% of the advanced features are defaulted to off anyway.

People voting cold, please say why?

Most likely they don't understand what they're voting on. Happens quite often.

It's about time I actually got a gigabit switch to make full use of the gigabit ports on all the devices I have on my current 10/100 network and so I've grabbed one :)

Don't bother checking for new firmware when ya get it if its the V2.0 switch there hasn't been any new firmware so I found. :)

Thats a pretty good price. It's worth keeping an eye out second hand though, I picked up 2 Netgear 48 Gigabit fully managed switch for a few quid over 50.

Haha... tell me about that fan! X) Its like being at an airport!

I didnt see this posted here (I had been tracking it as the price was dropping for the past 2 weeks), so only come across this because I was googling a manual whilst as work as mines at home.) Anyway, it arrived on Monday (after I'd cancelled to add another item - and get another fiver off at the same time!) and I finally got round to fitting it to the wall last night. I did notice in the manual, it talks about the web interface and access via 192.168.0.1 However, with just a single PC connected, I still couldnt access it.

Seems to all be working ok, but unsure how to check what speed connection I now have on each PC. (Not had a chance to check if I'm honest!)

What are those 2 extra funny looking ports for?

Is there a "better" port to plug in my ADSL router? I notice 2 of the ports are coloured differently. Whats that about?

Anyway...... There are none left. The last went last night. (As I checked 'cos it made me nervous I might lose out if this one proved to be faulty!)

Hi,

I dont know if anyone else is having an issue with this switch, but everytime I connect a wireless client to my network, I am no longer able to connect to this switch again to manage it. I then have to power down the switch and turn it back on...
