Is this company any good?

I use Astraweb and seems very fast, but they only offer 180GB / $25. So this offer should be mega hot unless the service is bad.

I dont know where you got 180gb /$25 as their unlimited is for $11 for life, unless you meant 180gb /$25 for a year!

Unlimited DSL - US$ 11 every month

No Speed Limits
No Download Limits
Exactly the same as Unlimited DSL Plan
You will pay $11 for every month as long as your subscription remains active. We will not raise the price.

Unless I misread this, but I believe this is a non-expiring block plan. i.e. the 1TB block does not expire until you've used it all. Whereas the one you quoted is a monthly plan.

$25/180GB is for the block account, where you pay for data blocks until you use up the data, the above deal is the same only more than 5 x the data for double the price.

Great deal boabbyrab 2.5 times better than astrawebs 180gb for $25 hot from me.
if you only have a small download limit (the max in my area, "sticks" is 40gb) whats the point of unlimited for $11.mind you will take 2 years to use 1000gb.

Excellent price. Going to stick with Astraweb though as i have had no problems and it wouldnt take me too long to munch through the tb.

Heat added.

Well that would last me about 20 hours (so bored I quackulated it), not for me.
maybe stop downloading so much naked man porn then.

Hot from me.

this is one of those deals on here that should be mega hot, but only a small minority will use, or even know what news servers are. im seriously tempted to go for this deal. going to do a bit of digging to see what the service is like

heat from me

I'm with Astraweb for Unlimited DSL ($8 month offer) pay yearly and it's brilliant.
Haven't heard of this provider myself but that offer is very good especially if you don't go crazy with downloading, it could last you two years +
#15
Newshosting - unlimited, uncapped speed, ssl encryption $15 a month.

Been using them for years - admittedly retention is "only" about 500 days but I'm not complaining.

I'd been looking at USENET ,this is an easy way of dipping my toes in. Cheers.

ordered mine last night, was on giganews £30 for a year = 120GB, so if the completion is decent enough this should be a great bargin :)

So it's been a month since this deal. I've used probably 20GB of data and had loads of corrupt downloads, will definitely be switching back to Astraweb when I've used all the data. Apparently it's because highwinds responds to DMCA takedown notices of copyright infringing content by corrupting the files on their servers rather than removing them completely - meaning you can see the files but can't use them, even with par files.

Ok for anyone else having problems with DMCA takedowns, try one of these nzb tools to check whether it is complete/corrupt.
nzb download checker or nzb completion checker

Cheers I didn't realise stuff like that existed. The second program looks great I'll definitely use it next time I download something on Windows.
