Hi Folks,

This is my first deal post so don't be too harsh please! seems like a decent price for a pre-order of a film that will be in high demand closer to release date. The pre-order price guarantee is always a safe bet with Amazon too.

Enjoy!

Not so sure this is good deal...but what I do know is this....this film is one hell of a wasted opportunity...the only good thing was Sam Worthington, other than that, it was disappointing. I am also not sure how this will look on Blu Ray...at the cinema it came across grainy as hell and the film has no colour expect towards the latter scenes..personally, I think this is not going to look any better than the Dvd...well that's my 2 pennies worth.

Cold because cheaper elsewhere? Of so do tell, I would like to preorder. Don't vote cold because you do not think it is 'worth it' only if you can find it cheaper elsewhere now. Thanks.

I voted cold because anything over £10 is too much for this film so as a deal, it's not good....and..in my experience telling folk not to vote cold is asking for trouble......:whistling:

Thanks for the post tho, I expect someone will appreciate it and give it some heat.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't ask them not to vote cold. Quite happy for it to be cold if it is cheaper elsewhere. If people would leave feedback as to where this is it would help everyone, after all isn't this the point of HUKD. If I don't want a product I just don't vote for it. If it is something I would like, I check to see if it is better anywhere else, then give the appropriate heat.

It's £15.99 at play.com which after 4% quidco and 5% RAC/Varsity discount works out slightly cheaper.

I haven't seen this film yet, but I'm quite looking forward to it.

However, I don't get this whole argument posters roll out to defend themselves from cold votes and I'm finding it quite tiresome (I also don't plan on apologising for finding it so). Why shouldn't people be able to vote according to opinion? This isn't a bargain to people if they don't think it's worth it, and that goes for all other deals. At some price every deal will become worthwhile to people; when it is so to the majority, it'll be voted hot, and then - in my opinion - it'll be a deal.

Obviously this rant isn't directed particularly at this deal. It's just where I was when it came out.

£14.95 @ dvd.co.uk

Personally i pre ordered my copy from the hut for £14.30 when their 10% discount code was around a week or two ago. I haven't seen this yet either & am looking forward to it.
My blu ray pre order list is quite big at the moment as there are lots of good movies coming out before xmas (going to be an expensive few months)

The Hut have a 10% code off blu-ray today only. This brings Terminator Salvation down from £15.93 to £14.34. The code works on any blu-ray so some bargans to be had!

Perhaps, but it does get a little odd when there's something ridiculously cheap, but because it's hated people vote cold. I think it should be on how much of a deal it is (since that's in the site name after all!), rather than opinion of the product.

That said.... when I scan down the list, I do tend to vote things hot that I like...

I just don't think you can escape the fact that the popularity and quality of subjective things like music and film is a important element of a deals success. It's futile to ask people to be objective, so why not just accept it as part of the process?

Well, theoretically it just shouldn't be subjective really, I think that's the point I was trying to make. The main thing is the price of the product and if it's cheaper than at other places to determine whether it's a deal or not.

The biggest question being why do people click on deals they don't want or like?? i.e. you don't like this film, why click on it let alone vote on it??

If you don't like something, don't click on it, don't vote on it. Thats my thought anyway.

Are you serious? Have you heard of a movie called Terminator 2: Judgement Day?
