Went into my local tesco extra - Portsmouth - near Marriot Hotel.

I went to print a couple of 6"x4" instant photo's expecting to pay 30p each at the touch screen kiosk. There was a poster in the foyer advertising 10 instant photo's for 10p - a penny each. You have to pay with a credit card and the T+C state 1 deal per person. Only needed a few prints so got 10, didn't try a different credit card to get more, so probably would work.

The instant photo's are dye-sub prints, just as good as a lab and will last just as long as a lab photo, they tend to be stronger as well

The machine or posted didn't state when the offer finishes

Go late at night when its quiet and print some rude ones!!!

A penny each , or 2 for 2p , 3 for 3p , 4 for 4p , 5 for 5p , 6 for 6p , 7 for 7p , 8 for 8p , 9 for 9p or 10 for 10p, clear enough

dont get arsey with me, your description lead me to think it was 10 for 10p ie multiples of 10

OK

No it should say 10p as the minimum spend is 10p isnt it?
#6
well is it ?

Jesus, who cares if it's a penny each or 10 for 10p? Maximum you could waste would be 9p!! I know it's a recession and all but I have many times more than that in beneath my sofa cushions...

Good deal OP!

Did the poster really have an apostrophe in the word photos?.........naughty Tesco.

Rightly so, as photo is an abbreviation of photograph, hence photo's is an abbreviation of photographs and we all know that an apostrophe is used when ommitting part of a word.

As photo is an abbreviated word the normal rules of adding 'es' to a word ending in 'o' when in its plural form do not apply.

Hence both photos and photo's are valid forms.

Thank you! If you have time on your hands, could you set my grandson some homework? He is getting rather bored as he has not attended school for days.

I believe some of their suppliers have tried - with little success

janz70 has a point but it would be nice if EVERYONE could be a bit nicer. Sure, if it were min. spend of 10p and you only needed 1 print, it would not be a deal; as it is at 1p a go (as it seems) its a great deal!

Why on earth do they insist on credit card payment? Doesn't it cost them £2 a go or similar to take each CC payment? Plain stupid (by Tesco)

how would 10p for onee not be a deal, the op said they was going to pay 30p each so even at 10p there is a big saving:roll:

Just to be clear it is 10 for 10p max. Or a penny each upto the max of 10.

WRONG. Photo's is short for "photo is" so totally wrong here.

Why on earth do they insist on credit card payment?

Maybe to stop people abusing the offer?
