Tesco Chicken Kievs for £1.00 in Tesco Express, usually 2 for £3 but I think this could well be a misprice.

Anyway the store I went to is London Farringdon Tesco Express.

Hopefully this is nationwide!

 +1

The whole breast ones much better but cost more as always

Yep, chopped and shaped. Ok if you don't think about what's in them but nowhere near as good as 'real' ones.

Great price though!

Each (x2)!

Definitely not a misprice, not a bad price. They taste ok but are slightly worse than the "unshaped" ones.

My former housemate thought these were like scotch eggs, and they could be eaten hot or cold.

Needless to say, he was not too happy with a mouthful of raw chicken ^__^

The chicken is in liquid form after being mechanically removed from the bone, it is then set into the kiev shape! mmmmmm!!

Good price though

Known as 'beaks and feet' in our house!

I watched a program on bbc about what actually goes into kievs.

they can get away with only putting 10% chicken meat in and the rest is chicken fat mrm meat which boosts it up to around 20%.

I wouldnt eat these if it was the last thing on earth.

normal price in most places i'm afraid:) cold

Had these at the weekend, threw them in the bin.
Really angry because unlike Asda, there is no quality'or your money back disclaimer' on the back of the packet.

I would call it Garlic butter & Offal coated with breadcrumbs. Disgusting :x

they are pretty bad these things - £1 is ok but quite a regular offer for them

I would guess it's because people who would buy this product are not that bothered about the quality.

This deal isn't for me, but it's a good price for the product.

It's a standing offer on all Tesco products. I've never had a problem when taking things back there.

Seen it as well - I'm not a fussy eater or a snob, but the programme enlightened me as to what rubbish we eat without knowing it.

ok I see a few comments so therefore I would add my own too
What I believe this is a hot deal because of what I normally get from Tesco ... £1.98 each or 2 for £3, hence now by selling for a quid meaning it has slashed its price for 50% or 1/3 off for some.
I understand there are people out there that dislike chicken kiev from Tesco ... or Sainsburys, or Morrisons ...
I am offering this because I believe the price has dropped to a good value, hence I think it's a good deal.
I put it on hot uk deals for a reason :)
