Apologies if already posted.

Hoppering on the M&S bandwagon, Tesco have started their own £2 meal deal, consisting of a pack of sandwiches, standard bag of Walkers & medium bottle of highland spring water.

This was in a Tesco Express, but I assume the offer is in all Tesco stores.

Most expensive sandwich I saw as part of the deal was the £1.50 deep fill salmon & cucumber.

Yeah, not good if you're soluble.

You can only drink coke? Your teeth must look like a row of bombed houses, surely?

Hot from me, just for using the excellent new word "Hoppering"! That is being added to my vocabulary today, for sure! Brill xx xx

Yes, sounds like a good deal. Especially if your a butty-boy!!
#7
a big fat hot from me!

I saw this yesterday. I think that its good value but would have preferred a £2.50 meal deal with one of their more expensive sarnies though. The cheap ones are pretty rubbish!

AMO
#9
big whoop they are still making £1.50 on this
#10
Boots £2.99 meal deal is better value imho but for 2squids...it's a cheap meal, and it's good that more places are doing these. Starts becoming a viable alternative to Burger King/McD's now. Hot

I agree
Some nice sandwiches/salads/sushi/fruit and most drinks in the Boots one plus the 6th one in any calender month is free so actually only works out £2.50 per deal if you buy 6 in a month

Personally i think they have always been a viable alternative to BK/McD though!

Great healthy diet from Tescos..As ever encourange the nation in its healthy drive against obesity ...
#14
Hot from me as i like water :)
#15
cold. not as good as the m&s £2 deal. sandwiches are better and a better choice of drinks
#16
Hot if you usually get your lunches from Tesco anyway, but I had to vote cold as when compared to the M&S deal Tesco are robbing you. You're not even getting mineral water either, just spring water, and they'd have to pay me to eat their cheaper sandwiches.
#17
have you recently seen the average shopper at tesco? All FAT sods! With trolly full of extra fattening food... Most of those would eat 10 of there sandwich's in one go!

quite a good little deal actually!! if your bit peckish !! thanks :)

yes their sandwiches are horrible, M&S sandwiches are great!!
#21
I get all the water I want from the cooler in the office so effectively I'm paying £2 for a cheap sandwich and a packet of crisps. Hot for some, cold for me!
#22
Yeh get the M&S deals their sandwiches actually look appealing instead of the sludge in between two bits of bread at Tesco's. And you actually get a fizzy drink too.

No they aren't...

Still not great value considering how popular their sandwiches appear to be on here!

Ahh i see you are located in Essex, that will explain it. You'll find the people will look like that in all the supermarkets.

The ones included in the M&S meal deal are hardly 'great'.

This isnt just any dull old cheese and tomato sandwich, this is a dull old M&S cheese and tomato sandwich.......

Tesco's deal should be a pound as there stuff is cheap and nasty compared to M&s and rubbish spring water instead of a proper drink..Cold from me..

Y'see, I think this deal needs to be taken in context.

Con - Nowhere near the quality of the M&S deal

Pros - There's more Tescos than M&S
- A full meal for £2 is good, no matter the choice.

The selection of sandwiches weren't brilliant. It was all the cheaper range they do.
