what is a colour book?!

It is a book used by parents to provide amusement to their offspring and keep them quiet. Generally there is an outline of a popular character depicted and the user must fill in the colours between the provided lines. They can come in all shapes and sizes but generally end up covered in scribbles when the child gets frustrated by the monotony of the task!

Don't you need to spend at least £5 to be able to pay by credit/debit card!?

Seems strange to me.

In some big supermarket like tesco's, sainsbury's, you can pay any amont by credit/debit card.
It is not the case if you spend less than 5 quid in a convenience store...

I am sorry...
it might not be nationwide, I am waiting for more people to try...
#19
It sounds as though the free colour book multibuy saving was what made the sarnies just 60p. So what was this free book and how'd it get on the receipt??
#20
This is stealing.
Tesco can't afford for this to carry on.

No it's not. You scan the items, Tesco offers you a price, you pay, you leave. Perfectly legitimate transaction.

I'm being sarcastic

Yeh it works - I just went to my local Sainsbury's and scanned two duck sandwiches, a bag of walkers, and a two litre bottle of coke for 9p. Great deal thanks OP.

#27
My colleague went and still got it for 60 pence...

is this sarcasm ?? if so , WHY?, the op found a glitch by tesco and decided to share !!! who mentioned sainsburys also ? lol
#29
I'll pay by card regardless of the amount. I very very rarely carry cash and anywhere that isn't happy taking a card payment will not get any more of my business.

1. Convenience
2. Cashback / points
3. Better protection on bigger purchases should something go wrong

And yes... that includes buying my lunch in a supermarket.

This works. I just took out Tesco home insurance and it went through as a loaf of Hovis Best of Both at £1.19. Think it's nationwide.

yes, no real need for the sarcasm. however, it's not exactly a deal though is it... as can quite clearly be seen on the receipt, it is deducting £2.80 for a colouring book, without having previously charged for the actual item. So an obvious misprice/till error. And one that hasn't been confirmed at any store other than the OP's (has it?!).
#36
It looks like alot of people went and did not get the deal, that's why they are being sarcastic.
I felt sorry for them...

Voting cold. It's not as good as the deal a couple of months ago where Tesco paid people to take chopped tomatoes! lol Seriously, some people make a fool out of themselves by making jokes like shopstilldrops did. Just like the chopped tomatoes were one of the first responses was a demand to see a scan of the receipt!

Sure it is not as good as the chopped tomatoes, but it is still a good deal to me, ans that is the reason that I want to share it out...
