OP, you might want to mention these two offers don't appear to work together. So its one or the other.

So effectively £30 for your old tablet, nope

?

The offer is either

- £50 off with a trade-in
- £20 off with code online

Not both at the same time.

More info in the other (older) thread.

Yeah, sorry, I get it now.

To be honest, the staff were totally useless when I asked about this offer. They didn't know the terms and had no stock anyway.

The reason you are seeing all these ipad deals on HDUK is because next gen ipad & mini are rumoured to be released at the end of 2013. Just a warning, probably be worth waiting as the new ones have improved specs & retina screen.

Not really a hot deal imo, £20 off an Ipad or you get £30 for your old tablet isnt really that good. Warm deal but not hot.
#17
Do you think you would get away with trading in a leappad? :)
#18
Great get rid of my two year old playbook which has become so slow for a shiny iPad for the kids

So did you end up trading? What tablet did you have?

No I didn't.

I have a Sumvision Cyclone Astro+ tablet that cost me £55 at Christmas. The guy I dealt with said they wouldn't accept it as they didn't sell it (not what the T&Cs say), then said he wouldn't accept it as it had no box (again, T&Cs don't mention the box). I had to read the leaflet out to him. He spent ages flicking through the apps and settings and basically wasting my time being nosey. Then went off and checked and said they had no iPads anyway.

I already have an iPad mini and was gonna trade in the Android tablet for the cellular mini. I was only half interested anyway to be honest, and couldn't be bothered going into another Tesco since it seems none of the staff know what to do with this offer. In the Apple refurb store, the cellular mini I want has £54 off, which is a better deal and less hassle.

Could say that about any electronic device.

If you need/want an iPad now then get one, the iPad 4 is very capable as it actually has a decent processor to power the screen as well as the new connector ensuring compatibility with accessories for the next 10 years! The iPad Mini is the iPad 2 in a smaller format and while not being retina does have 12 hour battery life.

indeed they are but after the next ones a year later more new ones are due again so probably best to wait and never buy anything, I was going to buy a galaxy s4 the other day but realised the s5 is due out next so thought best to wait but I might wait for the s6 or s7, not decided yet.........

My HP Touchpad (remember those?) is still doing the business so wouldn't think of trading it in
