300g in Morrisons for £1 , think they are from Belgium but they are extremely tasty

Cant wait for the PYO to start tho now they are proper Strawberries and better than Supermarkets by miles

Next time you're in check the brand, I think Santana? variety are some of the early croppers this year, good scent & taste 9esp if chopped & caster sugar added to allow fruity syrup, enjoy the best (British) strawberries whilst in season! ..I will!

Another case of Tesco double the price so they can give you a free one.
Who would pay £6 for a pound of Strawberries?

Not Tesco doubling the price! Sainsbury's have the same offer, at the same price but for foreign strawberries

Agree totally, we had some the other day, they were terrible and ended up in the recycling bin.
No flavour other than water with a slightly bitter aftertaste with the texture of unripe melon. If someone blindfolded me and fed me one no way would I have guessed it was a strawberry.
Luckily I have plenty of PYO near me and it won't be long before I have some 'proper' british ones.
If any of you have a local PYO I'd encourage you to use it, nice hour or so out in the country in lovely sunshine walking round picking and eating, if you have kids they'll really enjoy putting one strawberry in the pot and one in their mouths, whereas I of course have grown out of that sort of thing.....;)
