Tesco Canadian lobster, cooked and frozen, £5.00.

Don't know if these are in other stores but seen them today in my local Isle of Wight store and snapped one up straight away.

Just defrost for 8 hours in the fridge and your away, ready to eat. Even gives you a guide on how to cut it open and get the meat out, etc on the box.

Checked online but can't see them on there.

Box description:

Traditionally pot caught in clear waters off the East Coast of Canada and the Gulf of St Lawrence, the lobster is caught from April to June when it is at its prime - Full, meaty sweet and succulent. It is then landed on the tranquil Prince Edward Island where it is cooked and frozen to maintain its premium quality.

Eat now or save for Christmas. Enjoy!

:D

These are good. Similar to the LIDL ones.

The flesh tends to be very moist because they have been frozen so best to split them, cover them with sauce (see below) and heat under grill.

Used a couple of times as a starter for Christmas dinner.

Great!!

Ingredients

1x750g/1½lb lobster, cooked
20g/¾oz fresh parmesan, grated
For the sauce
30g/1oz butter
1 shallot, finely chopped
1x284ml/10fl oz tub fresh fish stock
55ml/2fl oz white wine
100ml/3½ fl oz double cream
½ tsp English mustard
2 tbsp chopped parsley
½ lemon, juice only
salt
freshly ground black pepper
Method

1. Cut the lobster in half and remove the meat from the claws and tail. Leave to one side. Remove any meat from the head and set aside. Cut the meat up into pieces and place back into the shell.
2. For the sauce, put the butter in a pan, add the shallots and cook until softened. Add the stock, wine and double cream and bring to the boil. Reduce by half. Add the mustard, herbs, lemon juice and seasoning.
3. Pre-heat the grill and spoon the sauce over the lobster meat. Sprinkle with the grated parmesan cheese. Place the lobster halves under a pre-heated grill for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

Good stuff, cheers for posting the extra info! :)

Not very good quality at all. I would only put this in a fish pie. You will be disapointed if your thinking of a nice lobster dinner.

Well I had my lobster tonight, and although I can't say how good a lobster is or isn't as this is my first I have to say I loved it, very tasty.
