Delivery is an extra £7.95 on the price.

However if you use code TDX-PRKW you get £10 off bringing the price to £102.95 (If you already have a tesco account just register a new one with the same details and new email address for the code to work). Thanks

Brilliant deal and price...despite the colour. I bought the similar black offering they had a couple of weeks ago for £100. Put it together yesterday (took about 1 & 1/2 hrs) ready for this weekend's barbie and used tonight for a little practice and think it is excellent.

Can find nothing to compare to it at this price.

For those that need gas then try this deal I put it up last week....they have been rushed off their feet with orders apparently as super cheap so maybe allow a week for delivery http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/cheap-propane-butane-gas-for-your-bbq-6kg-inc-gas-bottle-12-99-free-delivery-gasdeal-1924941?page=14#post22086257

We bought this BBQ a couple of weeks ago at £150 and are very happy with it. It's a very good deal for £105.

Can anyone who has one of these or the 3 burner version, tell me if the sides fold down or not, as I have a limited space to store it and the 3 burner version I would get is too wide according to the description, Thanks

For the extra 2 burners this is a no brainer (for me) quality of both will probably be similar but size does matter.....(_;)

The sides don't fold down on the 4+side model.

My wife's Canadian and as such is very picky about her BBQs - she's very happy with this model. Happy wife = happy life.

The sides do not fold down, you could unscrew them for storage but it would be a pain to be honest as 6 screws each side that are fiddly and if you got the one with the side burner you would have to dismantle that too.....probably be better to get yourself a smaller one unless you can store it outside with an excellent quality cover.
#16
Thanks for the information guys, yes I would have to store outside, shame as it seems an excellent bargain compared to smaller 2 burner ones

Thanks OP. Amazing deal. Well found!

We bought this BBQ a couple of weeks ago at £150 and are very happy with it. It's a very good deal for £105.

Give Tesco a ring they will refund you the £45 no questions ask as long as the purchase is made in the past 30 days and is still available for sale in their database, doesn't have to be in stock.

Have never used a gas BBQ, I can't help thinking that not burning my meat till its black with charcoal and marinated with firelighter residue just ain't the same - can anyone tell me if I would regret buying this over a new traditional one?

Thanks

Many thanks for that - we received ours on 4 June, so we're well within the 30 days - £45 refunded without any problems!

(I *was* considering reordering and returning the second BBQ with the invoice from the first delivery; thanks for saving me the trouble!)

It doesn't come with rocks, although I suppose you could add them if you like. Ours works fine without.

We're using ours with a green bottle of "patio gas" - £28 for 13kg from our local petrol station. (No need to pay a deposit on the bottle etc, but see this thread for HukD discussions about gas.

We initially bought a red propane but found the BBQ's connector wouldn't join with the bottle. It DOES join with the patio gas bottle, so we simply swapped the bottle for patio gas (which is just propane in a different bottle colour, I believe?)

YMMV if you understand connectors and regulators better than me! :)

Pretty BBQ, crappy mobile phone camera. :)

Thanks for the reply. What I mean is, there is at least facility to add them right? Sorry I've not owned a gas BBQ before you see and i quite like the idea of lava rocks. I presume that you would remove the grill and place them on some raise platform above the burners.

Yes, there's about an inch and half gap between the metal flame covers and the grill, so there'd be space to add them if you wanted to.
EDIT: You might need to source another grill to place just above the burners, so the rocks don't fall straight through.

We have the red one of these, it looks really nice and expensive, it cooks really well, I bought a smoke box as well which works really good with this bbq, this price is amazing for what u get.

So do you put normal coal on these or does it just cook like the gas ring on a cooker? Never understood gas bbq's and how they work.

Looks like a crackin' deal b

No coal/charcoal/rocks necessary.

I suppose everyone has a different method, but personally I open the bbq hood, turn on the gas bottle's valve, open bottle of beer, turn on two burners to full (which also does the ignition spark on this model), close the lid, open another beer (hic!), wait for the temperature to get to 200c (a couple of minutes or so), open the hood and put your steaks etc on then turn down the burners to a quarter-on to maintsin the temperarure. Finish consuming beer, eat food when cooked to taste and don't forget to turn off the valve on the bottle when you're done.

Much quicker and easier than charcoal.

What's the build quality like? Looks good but is it?

like the BBQ, but where do I buy gas bottle for it? seems like the online deal ones on hduk don't work with this. Also I can't store it indoors, so any good cover recommendations for year around protection?

I think you'll be more than happy for the £105 price! Assembly is simply a case of putting the base unit together and attaching the sides and gas connector, as the grill and hood unit is one pre-assembled unit. Some of the screws are a bit fiddly to do and awkward if you have big hands.

Asda do a large BBQ cover for £10. It's just a rectangular block of PVC with a drawstring, but it'll do the job.
#37
is the regulator a clip on type or a screw on type, I've ordered a three burner (red, couldn't handle cream!) so would like to buy the gas in advance.
#38
Thanks OP

This is my first gas barbecue. Am i right in thinking I need the patio gas ( green bottle). Will i need any other connectors?

Thanks

The 3 burner bbq is exactly the same size, just 3 burners and £17.5 less. So consider that too.
