Bargain! Was just about to head to bed then read this - popped down to my local tesco in Alloa and cleared the shelf! Got 8 packs - 48 tins for only £3.44. That should keep the muts happy for a while!

There is no way on this earth that this can be made with edible meat at this price. Would never give my dog this rubbish
#18
I would actually echo santasmissus's comments. These are a good deal, if you're happy to serve this to your dog, but PLEASE check the ingredients first. Relatively few dog foods actually have a good meat content (loads are min. 4%!!!), and I doubt this is one of them. That's before considering all of the EC additives, which are often akin to giving your kids e-numbers.:o

Not in our local Ferndown Branch :(

Gah.
That attitude should not be allowed on this website!

Price does not equate to quality.

Dog foods (as with many other goods) are priced to target different audiences.
I doubt any dog food on the market costs more than 5p a can to manufacture.

I would be more concerned what's in the food my kids eat, If the dog is happy to eat it then that's fine with me!

Incidentally, do you also check your dog food 'e-numbers', artificial colours & flavourings, and saturated fat??! :whistling:
#26
There is no need to check them, as the food that we are choosing does not contain them. That's the point we were trying to make. I would suggest you read the ingredients. These tins of 'meat' often contain just 4% meat, especially all of the well-known brands.
#27
Expired. Price is now £2.70 for these packs.

I can't believe there are people here who are so worried about the meat content of dog food!

Seriously, are there not bigger things happening in this world which are more important???

Be concerned with what you eat, be concerned about what your kids eat, worry about educational standard, levels of policing in your local area or if we should lose the pound and get the euro.... on a sliding scale of concern, the meat content of dog food is in negative number!!!
