If these are anything like the Tesco DVD-RW then I would pay a bit more and get a different make.
#2
These are good quality I've used them loads in the past and rarely get a dud
#3
Use these all the time for data, work fine.

You wouldn't see me putting video on these though...

Hawt.

will have to remember next time in store

DVD+/-R and DVD+/-RW are entirely different and you can't judge them on the basis of the tub's branding.. I have a tub if Tesco DVD+Rs and they are the same dye as the Kodak DVD+Rs that Tesco were selling before Christmas. I've burned about half a dozen of the Tesco-branded ones and have had excellent results, on a par with Verbatim ( Made In Taiwan ) discs. In other words, about equal to the second best - after Taiyo Yuden discs ( e.g. Verbatim Made In Japan ) - on the market at the moment.

I'd advise you to wherever possible buy +R than -R. They are quite simply better.

£4.97 for 50 is a bargain. Anyone voting this cold doesn't have a clue about what their voting on.

What are you on about -r is better as they are compatible with more standalone players +r sometimes don't work or some players won't play them at all great deal though goin to get some today

I got 100 CD-R for £4.98, Tesco Brand, well pleased :-)
#8
Never had a problem with them and music and video still play fine after 4 years so far.
#9
Maybe the person above is recommending the +r ones so the far superior -r ones stay in stock longer.

This can't be a nationwide 'deal'.

My Tesco has the DVD-R and DVD+R 50 pack at full price, that's £9.97 to you and me !

Made in Taiwan Verbatim's are £7.99 for 50 at the moment in Sainsburys peeps..

The discs KMP buy in from B-Grade producers (Umedisc, Optidisc, MBI) are in no way close to verbatim MCC media.

Kodak made fantastic media when they used to have a plant in Ireland (and Mexico), but Kodak haven't made their own media for a very long time, they just stamp their brand on substandard discs now.

Verbatim branded TY discs are nowhere near the "best discs on the market". TY's own branded discs prove of a higher quality every time.

Dpending on batch, even MCC discs are better than Verb branded TYs.

Where are you getting this information from? That is a total fallacy.

I'd say it's the other way round.

I went to both Edmonton and Ponders End (North London) both very large Tescos and they were £9.97 ???? bit of a wasted journey....

Are you saying 10p per disc is too expensive for DVD-Rs? I wanna shop where you shop...............or perhaps I don't....

Anything less than £12 per 100 DVDs is excellent (or less than £6 per 50). I got two 100 DVD 'cakes' (of TDKs) from PLAY.COM and they're all coasters now...all disks fail after 60 minutes recording, using DVD Rec (Panasonic) and PC (JVC)...all cheaper disks work perfectly. These were MADE IN INDIA TDK (blue) discs....RUBBISH. :x Tesco DVDs are okay! Heat added.

10p per disc is too expensive for B-Grade discs when A-Grade are available for 12-14p per disc.

Tomba, why are you surprised TDK discs are all coasters now? TDK have put their name to some absolute gash over the past few years.
