Tesco appear to be discontinuing their packs of 10 discs and have reduced the price to £5.97. This deal is available on-line and in-store. The in-store purchase makes more sense as better prices are available from the likes of Play.

If you need discs this weekend, this could be the best option for you.

Discs I bought are DVD-RW made by INFOMEDIA A20.

I have literally just ordered a dvd recorder and my next step was to order some discs!!

Seems like a good buy to me, but I am not sure of the average price for these.

Why not share the info then?

I've found that brand DVDRs are more reliable than the cheaper alternatives though. Cheaper ones do make nice coasters though ;-)

I suppose it depends on your writer / firmware updates etc. I havnae had a coaster in awhile, and I go through many hundreds of discs.

REMEMBER these are re-writable discs and can be picked up from your local Tesco store.

(What do you mean? Everyone has a local Tesco.)

I would pay the extra and go for a brand name, I found the saying buy cheap buy twice to be true especially with re-writable discs & dvd recorders.

I haven't used the Tesco DVD-RW, but I have used their own-brand DVD-Rs and found them to be very reliable. At least as good as many of the so-called premium brands.

Just be aware - I've tried Tesco own brand in 3 different DVD recorders Philips/Ellion and Goodmans and none would recognise them. Strangely though they work in my PC on a Lite-on drive???? :? Of course it just might be a duff batch.but Verbatim/Philips and Fuji ones all worked first time on the same machines.
