What exactly is energy saving about this? Its a timer plug.
#4
what do you mean by "delivered to store"? Couldnt I ask for it to be delivered to home? (_;)
#5
This deal was on the other week and then they went out of stock before I could get some. Just got three. Hot deal, free delivery to store makes it even better!

Indeed - usual greenwash. I would be interested in knowing if this implements an idea to save on the energy it itself consumes; bet it doesn't.

Hi
Sorry to be thick but never used these. Could they turn something off as well as on. For instance if I am away for the weekend I like to leave a light on so it looks like someone is in the house. Could a light be plugged in to say come on at dusk and turn off at midnight. Is that the sort of thing they are used for?
#14
"random function" what does that do exactly? Turn the electricity off randomly? Sounds odd.
#15
thank you. was looking for one. great price.

What's a random function? Does it mean that it can switch on and off when it feels like it?

Not very energy saving ...
#18
how long does the battery last?

I have one of the rotary ones that seems to draw power from the socket itself...
#19
Thanks, ordered one :)

This is a mis-price , should be £24 each , all orders will be cancelled !

Just food for thought, I saw a "new homes from hell" a couple of weeks back where one of these kinda timers had malfunctioned and burnt the house to the ground whilst the family were on holiday...They said they thought the biggest risk to their home was burglary, so had bought some of these to scare off the crooks. It was probably a one off - and (fingers crossed) hopefully wouldn't happen to anyone buying this unit - but it's just worth remembering that every bit of electrical equipment you introduce adds a little risk.

Oh, also, remember that electrical equipment, TVs, DVDs etc really don't take well to being repeatedly hard powered on and off...So be careful which items you plug in to these...

It's supposed to fool burglars into thinking you're at home if you connect it to a lamp.

I assume the battery is to keep the clock and settings if the power fails, and while you move it around.

Thats exactly what it could be used for.
The 'energy saving timer plug' bit means you can leave something plugged in and on 24/7, but electricity will only reach the device between the timer on hours.

I'm damned if I can find a random function, any ideas?
