Cheers, I've been thinking about getting some of these, I'll have a look in York store tonight.

I've seen 2 or 3 of these promotions previously and annoyingly they've never been on in my store (Lboro).

I have a question - do these rf sockets operate using a single standard? I own a 4 set of rf sockets and would just like an additional remote control....

what a genius invention!

Are these IR remote control? That way you could use with a universal remote.

Hm no they are RF

These were reduced to £2.34 each in my local Tesco store about a month ago so I bought 2 but they scanned through as 0.01p, so I bought 9 more! and have them all over. Its great that you can use multiple sockets with one remote.

Great Value for money even at this price

Lidl have sold four sockets (one with dimmer function) and an RF remote for £12.99 in the past. Very happy with the set I have.

been thinking about getting one of these cause I am soooo lazy. My idea is to plug it into my electric blanket!!! that way in winter and I am all cosey downstairs I dont have to get off my fat ass and turn on blanket upstairs. Genius!!! I wonder if i could use other one for Kettle so I can just boil it from my seat instead of getting up and waiting for it to boil. Now all I need is an automatic kettle filler machine to fill it with water......

hot from me.

Unfortunately, there's no sign of these at Tesco, Askham Bar, York. Never mind.

Check how much power you can draw through the sockets before you do so! I seem to recall mine had a fairly low limit; maybe 300W or so! Both kettles and electric blankets will probably draw more power than that...

Got my plugs today, maximum load is 3120 Watt. Not sure what my Electric blanket is, but i'm sure it will be enough for that.

BRING ON THE WINTER!!!!!!

3120W/240V is 13A, so the maximum you can draw from a standard UK socket anyway. :-)
