While the m&s deals are good value, and tasty, to claim a large chicken is worth £8.50 is a bit OTT - its real value is about a fiver max IMO.

The £3.50 extra is for the M&S logo.

The M&S one is rubbish, I did the Waitrose one last time and it was very nice, although I don't think I'd do it again.

i have every confidence that the M&S chicken is somewhat of "celebrity" in the chicken world. by the looks of the one i got this morning it is the katie price of chickens. they are massive you will get at least 3 or 4 meals out of it.

the M&S chicken actually tastes like chicken which is always a plus for me.

Anyone know what else is on offer this time?

Hi I have just got my M&S meal and yes with the chicken they are well worth £10.00
There was chicken Pie (nice but still a pie!), decent size lochmuir salmon steaks, a stir fry thing. Roast Pots, roast veg selection, asparagus, peas and beans. Also yummy puds this time apple pie, sticky toffe pud (had this before and its really nice) pain au choc bread and butter pud, lemon souffle.

The selection I got will actually make a meal for the 4 of us, so for £10 £2.50 a head can't go wrong.

Thanks for this. i tried to order online last night but no wine available! Neither bottle and no substitute offered so not an accessible deal. Heat added for those who can get it.

Yes I tried also. But cant find the wine!! Stupid of Tesco to offer the promotion then have no wine to go with it. The wine is instore but the deal is not instore!! I will ask when I go in today.

Doesn't look anywhere near as good as M&S

Have to say the M&S one doesn't look that amazing bought it today got the Pork Medallions with Organic Norfolk Cider Sauce, Roasts, Sticky Toffe Pud and Wine.
The spuds had massive black lumps inside and the portions are teeny to say the least. So still cooking it but not excited about it.
May try the Tesco one as overall I really like Tesco's food and not all of us can afford Waitrose or even live near one :(

Just eaten my meal deal and I take it all back was tres-yummo only wish there was more of it :)

We had the steak and it was very nice - so tender. You need salad or veg to bulk out this meal though. The choc cheesecake was to die for. Good deal.
