Tesco - Freeview+ HD TV recorder (Technika 8320HD) for £95.00 instore only
Hi there,
First post so don't judge! Popped into the Crediton Tesco store and saw on the side the Technika 8320HD reduced to £95.
I realise they have discontinued it but is a good deal for a 320GB Freeview HD recorder. There are reports of it being buggy but there are firmware updates and it seems fine for me so far.
It seems instore only as its discontinued on the online store.

I wish you luck though. Unless your request is simple you
can be on the line for ages, given duff information or just
cut off. I tried to find a store stocking an i-can HD Freeview
box and and was given wrong information. Most of the staff
seemed disinterested in helping me at all.
Once again, best of luck
Members will judge via vote, and you can probably gain a few more hot votes by additng "Freeview+ HD TV recorder" or similar descriptive expansion to deal title (as most members will not recognise the item purely from make & model number).

They never did manage to sort out all the issues with these things. You will buy it, and it will seem fine, and you will deal with it's 'quirks' and after a few weeks, it will just bug the crap out of you, with the resets, the crashes, the unreliability of it...
Not saying don't buy, feel free to judge for yourselves, but don't ever forget, you were warned!!
Still needs rebooted every couple of weeks though.
And according to the forum at avforums, the new firmware still ain't up to much. It still can't do the basic functions of a pvr reliably. Until it can, it will still be a potentially good, but currently frustrating box.
