Lol no! Nothing like cabbage :)

Much more bitter tasting than cabbage, nice though and worth a try for the price - cheap!

Compared to the local veg shop selling at ~£2/kg the original claimed price of £5/kg seems horrendous. An old trick to quote a low price for a miniscule (200g) size.

The stem is a little tough to chew through. I throw mine in the microwave for about 30seconds before frying it.

Good price but apparently kale is one of the worst foods for pesticides. I'd go organic if you can, nevertheless it's green and cheap hot

We had an organic veg box just before Christmas as a gift from a supplier. Halfway through braising the Kale I also noticed a poor braised caterpillar :( The guilt has put me off kale for a while! Wash your Kale carefully (_;)

Heat added for the price!

Good for smoothies too

kale crisps are my most recent food craze. and what's nice is that everyone likes them. they burn very easily though, one method is to put them in the oven and then turn the oven off. stir them around after 10-15 min and leave for another 10-15 min (while the oven is still off). And I also try removing the stems before baking.

This makes you laugh no one hardly buys it when it's full price but your lucky to get a bag when it's half price cause every one gets it then i use 5 bags a week so have to make sure i'm in there early when its on offer it's a pain.

Ah cool, I would only use to blend in smoothies so it's all going in :)

Make Kale crisps or blend with banana as smoothie, perfect hidden greens for my boys!
