Which is better? The one with the lid or the one without? I heard that one with the lid means that the food will be cooked more evenly when the lid is closed, and may also add a bit more of a smokey flavour?

Would anybody be able to provide some advice? Thanks in advance!

Well yes, that's pretty self-evident as it's working more like an oven than a grill. However the reality is you take the lid off so often to check or turn the food it doesn't make that much of a difference.

Id go for one with a lid every time. Using the lid keeps the flames down on the more juicy foods. The food is cooked much better with the lid on, more moist and not cremated on the outside and raw on the inside. I know they are much more money but I bought a reduced weber and it looks brand new after two seasons. It only gets put away in winter and never gets covered up

Not sure about everyone else, but I like to be able to place the rack on different levels moving closer to the charcoal as the BBQ starts to fade.

Thats why I went for the rectangular trolley :p
