Tesco Loophole: make £9.18 in deals £1.62

ok... lets see if ive got this right or wrong....one of the cheapest things i can see u can buy is the Tesco Ceramic wall mounted toothbrush holder for 1.62 in clearance. team this up with Tesco Mobile Extra Sim (as its half price so more points due to its higher original price!) so you are sorted for free delivery .... now use the 250points coupon (which expires on the 6th!) and you should have a total of 270 points totalling £10.80. u return the sim but u are still left to pay the toothbrush price of £1.62.

So u are UP £9.18 in deals!!!

Bum. code does not work for me:

Sorry, the code ‘TDXR-MBPA’ could not be accepted as you do not qualify for this promotion. Tip: Please ensure that your account has your most up to date Clubcard details set in the ‘My Account’ section to ensure that we verify your details correctly. Ref: EC1007

have checked and details are correct. seems a few people are having this problem.
#19

Cheers just ordered a tesco sim got free premium delivery over £6 and 256 points and will just return sim to local shop once delivered.:-D
#21
..can someone tell me, when you take the SIM card back, do you return it with the delivery note or without it? It's just that it says in big letters "free delivery with SIM cards"...would they not point that out?
#22
code dont work for me, same error as others report

or pay a few pence for an 0845 call and get it sorted now.
#29
Is the credit crunch really so bad that people have to resort to this type of thing to make a few extra quid? Voted cold.

it's not a few extra quid - I earned equivalent of £2000 last year in deals!

I got £7000 worth of airline tickets last year by doing things like this :w00t:

Several people on PTS have earned themselves a new car...

It's a really pointless pastime obviously...

Good for you. Fortunately for the rest of us, most people don't do the same and continually abuse the system, or go to extraordinary lengths just to scrounge a few quid - otherwise the likes of Tesco would stop doing these offers altogether and no-one would benefit from them.

I mean, honestly - ordering a £2.47 sim to get free delivery, and then RETURNING IT TO THE STORE for a refund?!?? That is quite possibly the saddest thing I've ever heard!
And ordering a toothbrush holder(?) that you DON'T EVEN NEED just to get a few extra clubcard points??? The mind boggles, it really does. I fear for the youth of tomorrow if this is the sort of example we are setting.

what a load of tosh. Far too much hassle bothering for 250 points for my 1.50 spend, which id have to spend back in their store. I'll spend a pound on petrol taking the thing back, let alone arguing with an incompetent adolescent male staff member who doesn't know his **** from his elbow who cant do refunds.

nice find though, i just needed a ceramic toothbrush holder!?

I don't deny that this is possible, but surely it must have taken an enormous amount of effort & time to achieve. I mean, people here are placing internet orders for goods they don't need & returning tiny items to a store just to "earn" £9!!!

enourmous amount of effort? 10 mins to place order. equivalent to working for an hourly rate of around £70 before tax / ni. its well above the minimum wage. wife shops in tesco anyway so no effort to return the sim.
