In local Tesco Metro these are sold loose as single units (65p) or in pack of two (85p), a staff member there has told me that leftovers each day of the "single loose ones" are then packed into the "packs of two" for sale the next day.

And to me there is quite a difference in texture between the loose ones and the pack of two, consistent with being dried out and sitting on store shelf for a day.

All the singles are reduced on an evening and fresh twin packs are produced every day...i know as i bake them at 4am ...the person you talked to is a moron:thumbsup:
