Whilst i do not agree with the policy, let's face it, you go in today and buy 3 eggs, £3, go in when offer starts, 3 eggs, £2.50.
Morals aside 3 eggs for £2.50 is better than 3 for £3 no matter which way you look at it

I have already eaten 4 of the easter eggs which I brought for my nieces and nephews so I will have to pop back in to get some more to replace them next week! and probably eat them too ggrrr - why does Easter egg chocolate taste so much nicer than normal chocolate?????

hot from me!

Cold. Went in last week and they were waaaaay overpriced. Misleading offers again.

Price changes at ours are wednesday mornings, they are half price atm so next week would have been £2 each so 3 for £2.50 is a good price

Some of them are £1.25 at the moment anyway are they not - "half price". Perhaps in preperation for this offer I don't know but I noticed some were £1 and some £1.25.

Bought mine from Thorntons bogof at £3.50, but got my kids names iced on them.

Tesco's are trying to fatten up their customers so they have to buy new sized clothes; it's pure Evil Knievel I tell thee!
#14
this is another example of the contempt that Tesco have for its customers they think we are so thick that we do not know what they are up to, the others do it too but I do notice it more in Tesco
#15
The same eggs are, I believe, £3.50 in my local co-op. The last few years they have been £2 or so at ASDA and Tesco but often discounted.
And to those complaining that they are £1 now and soon BOGTF does it really matter if they are always on offer? Tesco aren't ripping you off.

id like to know why ''medium'' eggs the last 2 easters consist of just 1 bar of choccie. easter 2009 had the medium eggs for £1 in sainsburys but they were egg and 2 full sizes bars. now its 1 or 2 snack size bars.

anyway its still a better price when its bogtf, but its a bit misleading.

:) Thanks for the post. They must have been in the middle of re-pricing Easter eggs in mugs in my Tesco as they were £3 each or on another isle the same item was 2 for £8!!!!.....LOL I'm no mug!
Could it be they have so many promotions on at the moment they havn't a clue which is on & which isn't !! Not to worry as long as it is in our favour I will not be complaining! Cheers

Yep, they're out to get you.

Tesco don't have a clue regardless of promotions. They just want your money and will get it by hook or by crook.

Yep, pity only the Chinese are any good at it anymore... somewhat ironically.

Look where its got us these days.....

Not voting either way, as it is a better price but the cynicism of Tesco sickens me to be honest so cant vote it hot.
#24
dont get this how is it misleading they are better than 1/2 price now then b1g2f at full price, its not misleading they are rrp 2.50 in every supermarket, although its like tins at xmas supermarkets make no money on them

What a pessimistic lot!

I can’t remember Easter eggs being so cheap - less than a quid an egg, come on!

Hot, hot, hot for me!

Thanks for the headsup pearsons06

simply a different offer - and a better one as it happens... red hot and I'll be there monday morning with my best bells on
#27
Ok, you save 50p, however, I don't see why they don't still sell them for the current £1 + 2 free instead of putting the price up. Cold from me simply because it's a ridiculous thing for them to do.
#28
50p off if buy three then!!!
#29
I'll be buying Fairtrade chocolate eggs but otherwise you can't fault the price of these :)

We are not moaning about cheap chocolate we are moaning about the way Tesco are are misleading us into thinking we are getting a great deal when in reality we are getting just a small saving!

You expect Tesco to sell them for £1 and give you two free? Get real; it's a business, not a charity.

can't believe some people in this thread, the original price is not £1, that is the current offer price, so they are not putting the price up, just changing to a different ( and better!!) promotion.

Hot deal, wish i had not bought some already.

RRP is £2.50.

Currently on a special offer of £1.

That offer ends, so they start a new offer.

Pay RRP, and get 2 free.

Its not rocket science. If you think Tesco are trying to stitch you up, I suggest you go and stick a couple of keys in your nearest 240v outlet and let the rest of us use the oxygen you are clearly wasting.

Ok?

It’s actually 17% off.
If you were to get that off a car or a house you’d be chuffed to bits!
But because it’s only 50p you get all mardy about it.
#37
Last couple of years, can't remember i think it was in the sun
but they do a easter egg comparison, and it is like the lager
deals, they reduce the amount of the product .
In this case the weight of the chocolate egg and the size and or
number of the chocolate bars also. But this is how they can afford to do better deals.
Will vote hot once offer starts.

Jesus wept, are you people being serious when you say you want Tescos to sell them for £1 and b1g2f?

Why stop there? Surely free eggs are better than eggs at 33p each? In fact surely you should actually get paid to take them off their hands?

And get a free bottle of wine.
suspended#39
You can't vote a deal cold that's clearly a winner because you don't like how Tesco "misleads" people with their pricing strategies. All supermarkets do it which is why they're such profitable businesses!

Hot deal, less than £1 an egg.

Never seen a easter egg deal as good as this.
