And a potential £6 Quidco too :-D

Tried adding £30 of vouchers came out at came to £89.97 minus £20 discount, did this with £20 vouchers came out £59.97 after discount, am i missing something?

Amazing deal and quite a good phone too, I couldnt stand mine at first then i discovered how to hack/mod it! Makes it a lot faster too!
Easy to unlock too with free software from the net and all you need is a standard mini usb cable which most people have anyway from either a digital camera or mp3 player or mine is from a 2.5" external drive! I dont know if i'm allowed to post links to other forums so if someone can clarify that for me i'll point to the best site i found to get all the stuff you need to unlock-mod-hack-improve moto's (its all freeware anyway just that this site has it all in one place so saves a lot of time!)

You don't need to add anything! The posted price includes the £30 airtime.

That's all I can get to.

Also I think it's 3% quidco rather than the £6.

That's the answer!!!

Thinking about it, aren't you better off buying it in-store? Spend £25 on food to get £25 off the phone and you don't need to buy the credit then. Spend £50 to get 5p off a litre of fuel too!

EDIT - You might be able to get 500 cc points on-line tho.

?

I think in-store it'll cost you £35 and if you really want the credit you can buy the other £30 for under £25 anyway. Near enough everyone can easily spend £25 on groceries.

Only reason to buy on-line is for 500 clubcard points if it's still available and possibility of quidco although I think it would still work out cheaper in-store.

The latest firmware on the V3 is not unlockable by that method. and needs ether the subsidy code or has to be dissembled.

just spoke to tesco's direct, they couldn't get the deal to work properly but you can order this over the phone and they will do the deal that way, they said that it does not come up with the vocuhers included in the deal of the day, they have reported this to their technical people.

Any chance you can edit the original post so it doesn't have all the info about the phone? It's taking up the whole page main page and everyone knows how to use Google to find the specs....
#19
I thought the V3 didn't have video recording? Has that been enabled somehow with a hack? I know it does not have expandable memory, so you're limited to whatever is on board. I got my kid a V3 for Xmas '05 and a few months later I had to replace it with a V3i so he could video himself and his mates acting the maggot...
#20
So when you add the v3 to basket for £59.97 does it automatically come with £30? Because it isnt showning in my basket.
#21
Anyone help?

Doesn't seem to be available on deal of the day anymore, have they taken it off as it's not working?

press and hold the * and the # and the RED keys simultaniously. The phone should wake up in a kind of maintenance mode and display something like this:
Code:

Boot Loader
0A.52
SW Version:
R4515_G_08.BD.
D3R

OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable.

If it is firmware R4515 you will have to get it unlocked by a shop or stall or pay for a subsidy code, but you can not unlock it just with a cable and software.

Use scottys bootloader downgrader and you CAN!!!
See [url]www.modmymoto.com[/url] for info instructions and software! (you have to register(free) to be able to download from there) all firmware versions CAN be unlocked via free software and cable!

The testpoint (dissassembling and hacking part away) is no longer needed at all!

Have you done it?

Not with this version, it's old software.

[COLOR="RoyalBlue"]R415[/COLOR] just tells you its a V3 its the bootloader that determines the ease of unlock in this case [COLOR="Lime"]08.BD[/COLOR] which would need the downgrader before running the unlock software.

Actually, it tells you it is running the V3R (R4515) firmware and that it is the 0A.52 bootloader which needs testpoint for unlocking.

08.BD is the extension of the firmware, R4515_G_08.BD.43R

That is not correct the firmware that starts R415 cannot be downgraded without taking the phone apart and cutting away some shielding and shorting a testpoint to earth, or by attaching a special device to the screen multiconnector, then running unlocking software, A new V3 i just bought from Orange On their £29.99 deal was running this "V3r" firmware I got it unlocked via susidy code for £15 online,(though I will not recommend this company here as though their code worked OK they did not reply to any emails) as I have nobody local that could unlock it. hopefully this deal uses the earlier (firmware versions beginning with R374 or R375 which can be downgraded at home via the USB cable) Also the phone running the V3r firmware has a bigger slot under the M logo on the front, the photo on the deal shows a V3r If you have a phone shop or market stall that does unlocking they will know the firmware and should charge from £5 upwards
