Great cheap deal , can be used in emergency or gift to kids and elderly family members. A complete no nonsense simple phone for just 9£
Apologies if the deal is posted previously.
I have been using a Nokia for years. A no nonsense workhorse hard wearing, reliable, robust and practical
The Nokia 100 is a slim line mobile phone with a grey cover and black buttons. It features a colour screen and built-in FM radio so you listen to your favourite songs or radio station whilst on the move. This Nokia 100 model has talk time of 4 hours between charging, the extended battery life means you can chat or text for longer. With room for up to 500 entries in the phone book, you can store all your most important contacts. The ring and vibrate functions allow you to choose between your preferred ringing style and you can turn the mobile onto the vibrate setting when in meetings, the cinema or important events. This Nokia 100 is a great first phone and includes a number of handy features. Sign up to our free credit tariff and we will triple your credit on top-ups of £10, £15 and £20 each month. If you top-up £15 or more you can choose from a free text, minutes or data. Call 282 from your Tesco Mobile. Offer ends 30th November 2012, terms apply. Plus we'll give you triple Clubcard points for every £1 you top-up. Points are given for top-ups in Tesco stores, online or by calling 4444 from your Tesco mobile. Offer ends 1st January 2013.

Tesco had unlocked ones a few months ago for 15 quid, before that they were 10 quid, so have a look around and see if you could buy it unlocked. This is also my festavle phone, and I use it with the 99p Sim cards with 5 quid credit.

Well, it's pretty good just to keep in the kitchen draw for an emergency. Might have to go and get one myself. Do they have it in store?

My elderly family member needs this type of TV remote control....

so I think they might struggle with the Nokia 100 buttons.

Also, I'm not saying there's a constant whiff of pee involved, but if it's for my elderly family member, the phone should have a replaceable charcoal impregnated backing.

I specifically went for this dumbphone as it has been rated as having exceptional signal strength, which it does. :)

No. That's old hat now. You can now get Snake Xenzia but think depends which country you from probably Asian model.

Preloaded games below for European Model:
Forbidden Treasures: Crap gfx. Forget it.

Vacation Solitaire: Just like the early days of MS Solitaire if cards is your game.

Sudoku: Catchy annoying tune startup but it's heavy on the green. OK game, worth a play if you like maths.

Uses Nokia Symbian S30 OS software. Pics are a bit washed out than real.

hankyMcSpank, lol! that's a huge phone.
Tesco network is basically O2 signals so I guess they are good.
as said earlier, it's for emergency only and great for kids who just started their secondary school.
for under a tenner, nothing to moan about..

It doesn't work correctly: it will show full signal, battery but you won't be unable to take/ make calls... Completely unreliable phone, AVOID

Great little phone. Got an unlocked one from CPW and now run it with an Ovivo (Vodaphone) sim in it for emergency use.

Cost me £13.99 online from CPW including £10 Vodaphone sim plus I got £3.03 cashback via Topcashback so it effectively cost me 96p (deal was posted on this site some weeks ago)

Great for signal strength and sound quality and battery lasts for ages so it also acts as a backup for when my smartphone battery dies.

Time to move out of the countryside. :D

I own two phones. I own one of these and also a 4s (which cost me £599). I use both phones daily for business use.

The Nokia 100 is much better on battery life ( days not hours), and usually better on signal strength.

The call quality sounds the same on both phones to me.

This phone is IMPOSSIBLE to unlock, however unlocked versions from Tesco are just short of £20. Although Tesco use the O2
network, this phone cannot use an O2 SIM.

Highly recommended

Also consider the Nokia 101, which is dual sim and can be found for less than £30.

EDIT: By impossible to unlock . I mean that it cannot be unlocked by anyone other than the original network provider. I have heard that Tesco do this if you have spent a certain amount of money with them on top ups.

WTF are you talking about, they can be unlocked, it is SL3 security and it may be expensive but can be done
#27
Master 10, Can you provide a link please that shows that this phone can be unlocked?

I took mine to two mobile phone shops and spent an hour on Google and found no way of unlocking it, other than through Tesco.

WTF, I think your talking nonsense. I think you will find that it has a 20 digit NCK lock, which using a powerful computer would take, on average 577 years to crack.

the post is for a cheap pay as you go phone for emergency, why confuse people on locking and unlocking?
As long as it sits in the glove compartment of your car on a tesco network, whats so bothering about unlocking?
I am just asking..

Currently £7.90 on PAYG as an upgrade in Carphone Warehouse.

I need a new phone for my Dad and was told I can get it at the upgrade price if I give them his mobile number (which is PAYG and he's had it for years).

CPW phones are always unlocked (aren't they?), but they have a terrible returns policy (you can't return anything).

Yes it is ideal as an emergency phone, but others( like me) may wish to have one for day to day us and put it on the best package.

I use mine on Giff gaff. I pay £5 a month(goodybag) and get 60 minutes, free Giff gaff calls and IIRC 300 texts. Also free 0800 calls.

The best bit is that every time someone calls me I get extra minutes. For example if someone rings me for 30 minutes then I get 30 minutes added. I have been using it all month and now have almost 300 minutes.

Like I say its a fantastic phone, never drops a call and has amazing battery life. Also included are headphones.

My iphone 4s gets very littel use now after buying this.
