I got this deal last time it was on, great deal!

Even the roaming charges are pretty reasonable!

Said £10/m in the advert in (London) Metro today. "Exclusive deal online or by phone."
Existing customers call 2708 to switch tariff.

I'm waiting for my O2 contract to finish in July, still haven't got mobile internet on my iphone cos I refuse to pay an extra £7.50 on top of my £35 line rental for it LOL!
This contract seems ideal for me as my O2 one was 600 minutes and I dont use them all, but I am worried about exceeding my internet usage when I get a new contract.
Can anyone please give me a rough idea how much data I can expect to use in a month just for general web browsing and emails? Would 500mb be enough?
Also, web you have a web allowance, are you able to check it like you can with your minutes and texts?

      Thanks x

I think Tesco charge a lot if you go over your 500MB though, unlike T-Mobile who just limit your usage if you go over.

Oh really? :( Anyone know how much? O2/Carphone Warehouse charge £3 per mb outside of allowance, as I found out when I accidentally run up a £200 bill because my mobile accidentally connected to the mobile internet instead of my home wi-fi. That's why I am worried how much allowance I will use on a normal month.

Don't suppose there's an iphone app that can keep tabs on my internet usage? :)

How long is a piece of string?

If you're only going to use for a bit of browsing and emails, 500mb is plenty. I know when I used to check on my iPhone, I only used to use about 100mb. But that I guess was mostly cos I used wifi in hot spots.

If you're not downloading, then you'll be fine.

You can check online any time you like your usage. I expect there is an app that monitors too!......just make sure you go over!

Thanks, I know no-one can give me a definitive number, but wanted some ideas frmo other peoples experience.
I won't be downloading or anything, no - just usual out and about browsing and that :)

I have a box for cellular data, but I guess that is for mobile internet as it says 0 bytes - I only use wi-fi at the moment

That would be good because O2/CPW said there's nothing they can do to prevent these things happening because their system is 24/48 hours behind

The o2 is fair usage, meaning you can go over. When you go over too much the service slows until you get your next data. As far as i know they dont bill over unless abroad. the CPW/O2 might be different with CPW grabbing all they can. O2 prices keep rising and they dont bother telling the customer. You just notice the increase.

My Tesco contract is up next month, this deal is hot.

Can this be used for the iPhone 3GS, why do they list separate SIM only tariff deals for iPhone at a higher price?

500MB is more than enough for general browsing imo. As long as you're not constantly downloading stuff and video streaming.
This was only posted a few weeks ago but it's well worth reminding people as it's an excellent deal.
