Just to add,

The other day I got 5 packs of 10 CD -R's from Tesco for £0.81p a pack, - which has cheap than the 50 pack of the same disc on a spindle.

I will call in & get some more

Just been to my local Tesco and bought some. I use either these or Asda's own brand and have always found them very good :)
#3
Excellent for less that £5 !

Will look tomorrow! Cheers! Heat.

Very hot. And before someone makes the usual dumb comment along the lines of "who uses CDs any more?" then think beyond the realms of file storage to their original purpose, and how many CD players there are out there.
#6
Still £9.97 in my local Tesco ( Newbury ) :-(
#7
Good deal if it's nationwide. Never had a problem with Tesco's own brand, or Asda for that matter.
#8
must be nationwide, had them up here in scotland.

i dont want to make a trip unecessarily, anyone else confirm? Can it be that its wrong price on display but will go through at the mentioned price?

Edit: If anyone is able to get one at that price in London, please mention what store it was. I just spoke to tesco's they said that its not a promotion, its showing up at £9.97 on their systems and that it must be a glitch at some stores or offer at some particular stores.
#11
The CDrs actually have the SEL (its the yellow type) showing the reduced price, so its not a misprice, they also were showing the reduction on the 50 DVD-r cake boxes as well...I actually bought 100cds and 50 DVDs for less than a £10 so grab them while you can.

But the lady said that the system prices would be the till prices at that store. So i guess its safe to say that its not nationwide.

Was the store you went to a express/extra?

and do you know what dye the dvd's are?
#13
unfortunately still full price Tesco Bury.

i went to tescos earlier, since its only around the corner, the price is stil £9.97, i went to checkouts to confirm they scan at £9.97 and they did, so i went to a manager i saw and asked him if there was any sort of promotion on these in the future, for them to be half price, he went to back and came back in bout 5 mins and said not in the next 2 weeks as far as he knows.

however i noticed the sony CD-R 25 pack is reduced to £4.98. not that it interested me.

Ok a bit of sucess.

I decided to go into the tesco store that i asked the headquarter lady of, over the phone, previously, whom told me that the system price, which is sync'ed with the tills was £9.97. But im a stubborn breed and arrogant some may even say. Defiance should have been my middle name. Anyways......

So i went into the store hoping that firstly they would have stock and secondly that they will scan through at the price that the OP has quoted, even though from remembering what the lady had said over the phone, i thought it would be pretty much impossible. But i laugh at the face of impossible and eat its babies for breakfast. So i went into the store never the less.

Anyways without dragging this story on, there were about 4 packs left, but the lady over the phone said there was 8 on her system so i can only imagine that other savvy shoppers had snapped them up within the 45 minute delay of me reaching there. Anyways. They were priced up @ £4.98 for 100. It was a yellow sticker. The dates of promotion on the sticker was very fc uked up, it said the promotion was valid from dates that had gone so i checked that i hadnt been morphed into the past. I did this by pinching myself. I then gave a tenner to this butch lady in the aisle to swing me her right hook. I then went and sniffed some glue and i then realised that in not in the past, tescos have just screwed up somewhere.

Anyways, getting out of the past and coming to the realisation that the dates on the stickers were wrong, something like starting july and ending august 2009, i picked up a spindle. I was going to buy them all and sell them all on ebay for a profit etc yada yada but then the animal inside of me spoke (or maybe the lasting affects of that dykes grubby fist) and i listened and only took one.

Anyways, well done op, heat and rep added.

There were other things reduced too in that section, like other cd and dvd packs as well as sony branded, marker pens and another bargain i think was 40 clear slimline cd jewel cases, which were £5.35 slashed to half price to £2.67, but it was the last one and one of the jewels were slightly cracked so i got it reduced to £2. Would you like to hear the story about that? Im sure you would but people i really dont have the time for things like that, i just keep things short and sweet because im a direct no ******** straight to the point kind of guy.

Anyways,

heat added.

Good deal.

Thank you.

No im not innebriated, this deal makes you happy and happiness is something you cannot put a price on. Neither can you put a price on the fc uktards that ask you everyweek to burn you something for the 50th time because they know that you are well resourced and equiped. Ok maybe its not their fault that you are superior to them. Maybe its.....ahh i know what ur trying to do. It wont work. Remember, im not one to talk needlessly.

Goodnight.
