This 42" premium TV stand from Tesco has 3 shelves, so you'll have extra space for your AV components and games consoles. The stylish piano black design compliments the slimline style of modern TVs. The contemporary looks are enhanced by its safety glass shelves, which are toughened for extra security and your peace of mind.

Stunning value for a contemporary glass stand, and gets fantastic reviews. Available online and instore (was in my local).

Cheers, just picked one up from my local at this price, gets great reviews on reevo, and looked pretty good quality from the instore display model.

Haven't unpacked to assemble yet, but I certainly couldn't find a better deal, I am sure the design may not be for everyones taste, but the wife and I are pleased.

They also have a 32" Version (same design) for 24.97 as well (Instore and online)

Saw this yesterday when I was ordering my telly but it looked a bit too jaggy edgey if you know what I mean. Top of it looks about head height for a wee one. What's it like in the flesh OP?

To be honest, most tv stands for large tvs I have been looking at have only been 50cm in height.

Doesn't look jaggy edgy, the framework is your usual cheap aluminium welding with silver spray, but have to say the packaging and quality of the glass shelves look very good...even in packaging there is a ribbed cardboard piece inder where most people just slit with a stanley knife to prevent any damage to anything, and the instruction sheet whilst being diagram only is printed by Tesco and certainly not Chinglish.

Yes I can confirm it. But measure your tv first! If that is wider than 100cm then you wont fit anything in the gap obviously.

Sorry your iphone doesn't look aesthetically pleasing to yourself on this stand. I did say it wouldn't be to everyone's tastes.
#16
they say up to 32" on cheaper but it will fit any TV on anyway so why is the £30 stand better than £25 for a 42" tv?
#17
Been looking for a decent TV stand and this looks absolutely ideal. Cheers OP!

Surely it depends how far overlapping the sides of the stand you want your tv to be balancing, and the width of the bottom pedestal stand of your tv.

HUKD is getting weirder and weirder.

Quidco. Every little helps!!

Is this silver or black? Does it look good with a black TV on it? Sorry for the stupid questions, other half whinging.

Frame and rear strut (cable organiser) silver, glass shelves are black smoked. Personally I think it would look better with a yellow tv on it.

i meant to ask why do they limit themselfs to 32 or 42" ? when you could fit any size on it?

Presumably this is more about weight than size.

Weight distribution, you would not want to try and fit a large surface area on a small surface area, physics. If you mean why limit to 32" when you could fit a 26" or even a 15" or on the 42" one you could fit a 42" or a 37" or even a 32" if you want, then surely common sense there prevails!..it all depends on the size furniture you want. They give these figures as guides!

What job? To come into a thread to troll is that? Think you are on the wrong forum if that is your intention.

OK, because I am too good to you peeps, I am going to give exact assembled dimensions for you (erroneous disclaimer of +/- 1mm)

Width : 956mm
Height : 496mm
Depth : 421mm

Diameter between base shelf and middle shelf : 190mm
Diameter between middle and top shelf : 206mm

Middle shelf glass is thicker (7mm) than base shelf (3.5mm) due to no centre strut support that is on base shelf to help accommodate weight.

If you don't clip in the rear cable tidy plate I see no reason why this unit could not double up (or the smaller 32" one) as a reasonably cheap coffee table.

Sold like 6 of these today in work at my Tesco Extra. Well made and cracking price. Running low on 42" ones but got loads 32" ones left in my warehouse.

The dimensions stated for the 42" were incorrect too, actually the dimensions may refer to the flat packed item.

The 32" one is the same height, depth and shelf dimensions, however I do not know the exact width, I would say though it would be around 70cm width at a guess for the 32" one, they had one on display in the store
