You can't use the £20 voucher at Argos, it's delivery only and the voucher is store pick up.

If it's 6% Topcashback off £409, it's £24.54, if it helps anyone work out if it's for them. If using a non TCB approved voucher code, it may invalidate any cashback though, so don't bank on the cashback.
#11
Does it support Audio return via HDMI? Tech specs doesn't mention it.
#12
2 HDMI sucks as most people use 4 these days but if you work there you get another 10% off. Bargain at that price :)
#13
Had already ordered this from ARGOS earlier today, rang and asked if would price match but they wouldn't - so cancelled with them!
Argos were going to deliver Wed/Thurs and will have to wait till Saturday from Tesco but for £30 saving I don't mind that!
Been waiting for a 46+ 3D TV to be £500 or less and at £429 for last years Samsung model this looks a bargain!
#14
Shame it is only 2 HDMI. Current TV has 3 and it is a pain in the preverbal since we have more than 3 devices needing HDMI.
#15
If you want more hdmi then just buy a switcher.. but imo with a tv like this it should be hooked up to a good surround sound .
#16
LED backlight is the big plus here instead if the inferior and cheaper 'edge' technology. Hot.

Sounds like you need an amp.

To the expense of profile depth, this is 96mm deep whereas an E(dge)-LED tv is as slim as 30mm.

the 2 hdmi slots and 1 x USB slot let this TV down.
I currently use 3 HDMI's and counting.

Can't knock it at this price. Ace tv. Bought my folks the 40 inch version and it's so much better to use than there 46 inch Sony. In fact i prefer to watch tv on it because it's so user friendly!
#21
What 'Smart' features are available on this ? The tech listings have differing detail... Does it include all the main 4 terrestrial catch up services ?
#22
Would this be any good for gaming?

Sorry I but my TV's for their picture quality not how they look stuck in the corner of a room. Buy a vase and stick some nice flowers in if aesthetic appeal is a priority.

I have the 40" model. It has very good picture quality but please remove all the extra image processing crap. It makes you feel sick. Its like watching TV while floating.

Anybody care to comment on how good this is as a general TV?
Not bothered about 3D and do not subscribe to HD on my Virgin box.
Do not want to wall mount so depth is not an issue. Just looking for a nice TV of this size.
Oh. . . . . . . . . And she who shall be obeyed works for Tesco 8)

2x hdmi is ridiculous in 2013. The first hd telly we bought back in '05 had 3 ports. Those hdmi switches are a pain :|

Bought one.:-) heat added.

Hot B-) couldnt get delivery till next saturday tho

Great price, I would really like a smart tv so need to hold out for something else to come round I think, however tempting this is! Do people actually use the 3d function much? I'm thinking a smart function outweighs a 3d function for me

You have a point BUT
a. most software implementations of smart tv platforms are lacking (not all catchup / streaming services, sparse updates, youtube changing its api and becoming obsolete etc)
b. You can FULLY replicate the smart TV functionality and even experience (PLEX, XBMC) by connecting a laptop/tablet/Smart BlueRay Player/Android TV stick, all some of those solutions can be had for less than £30-40.

On the other hand the 3D, experience can only be replicated by forking out £11 for a 3D cinema ticket.

PS> This TV suffers from terrible 3D crosstalk, so 3D is not exactly a joy.

I just bought a Sony last week, but this is a great deal still.

To those complaining about the HDMI ports, I picked up a £14 auto-switch which switched the inputs from the three connected devices I have plugged into it. Works a treat. Look for HDMI auto switch on Amazon and look for the ones by Neet. Job done.

In theory you are right but in practice often not the case; poor black levels on this TV which shouldnt be the case. Back lit technology can cause very off putting local dimming as the panels switch off and on behind the TV. re cost Bang and Olufsen use edge lit technolgy on their TV's
