Looks like a bargain to me for a 6.3 megapixel Digital SLR camera

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-6026.aspx

These are effectively just rebadged Pentax digital SLR cameras.

At this price with 18-55mm AND 50-200mm lenses this is cheap!

£229.97 delivered to your local Tesco, less £5 discount (TDX-CLHD) and get triple Clubcard points, so effectively as low as £197.49.

ONLINE ONLY!!

Those of you who have voted cold, please explain, as I would be delighted to know!!

Great price..HOT

Saw this last week and been thinking of buying. The 2 lenses get a very good review and to buy them seperately they usually cost about £150 each. The body is very basic without all the new features like image stabalising or live view but it takes great pictures. At 6.1 M pixels you can get 8x10 printouts if you want bigger you will have to process the jpeg with something like Genuine Fractals. Sounds like a bargain to me. Voted Hot.

Brilliant ...... voted HOT
#5
Seems like a steal to me, currently £570 on amazon with just the one lens.
#6
voted hot realy good deal takes all old pentax film lenses as well may only be 6.3 megapixel but will far better picture quality than any compact or bridge camera due to larger ccd and better optics great find

Looks a tad expensive in the title £225,687 is a lot of money for a camera, you could buy a house for that

That might explain the cold votes

Cheers

Not if you know anything about photography - I'm just peeved that I bought a new camera a couple of months back - very hot!

The Amazon price is over inflated. Been selling previously for about £370. One went for £330 on ebay second hand a couple of days ago.

he was joking, the price looks like £225,687 in the title.

Don't forget there is another 3% off via Quidco or 1.5% with Greasy.
#15
I agree, this is a great camera for the price, I have had mine for about 18 months. The only downside as I see it is that if you want to shoot your pictures in RAW format the Digimax software is not supported by Vista (at least mine isn't.)

Heat added
#16
Great deal, considering the 50-200mm Schneider Kreuznach lens alone is a rebadged Pentax 50-200mm that sells for £180!

Great camera, and a brilliant price for a starter DSLR kit with a good lens range. Heat added.
#17
The 2 lenses provided are in fact very good lenses, just rebadged Pentax ones.
Those 2 alone would probably be worth the £197
#18
Im very tempted, how would this compare to the 10 megapixel Canon EOS 400D?
#19
Just bought one to put on ebay - possible £100 proffit!!
#20
Ordered For Pick Up; Went Via Quidco Along With £5 Voucher
#21
pound for pound, this package offers greater value than the 400D, as people have already mentioned, the leses that come with it cost close to £200 on their own, if budget isn't a constraint then you cannot compare this camera to the 400D, 400D has a lot more features
#22
This is a smoking HOT deal, I have many Pentax lenses. Many, many THANKS OP:thumbsup::-D

Don’t forget sim-card trick for free delivery

Deal? Sounds like booshmoon isn't the only one who has bought with the intention of selling on ebay.

Misery? No issue about "loosing" out on this...first come first served and all that. I just don't think that profiteering at the expense of other members (who may post deals on this site) in really in the spirit of this site.

It's a good job the OP's of deals don't have the "buy em all and sell em on ebay" attitude. Otherwise there wouldn't be any deals posted on here...

cracking deal, been after an entry level DSLR for some time... same i missed out on the deal twice in one day though!

I nearly managed to buy one just now... got to the final stage of ordering, but then went back to enter my girlfriends club card number, and after doing that it started telling me it was out of stock... grrrr!

This brings back memories of glastonbury 2004 all over again ;-)
