I did a shop in-store this morning and got a voucher. The voucher is generated automatically on till-roll so the promotion must still be on.

My local petrol station is rather surprisingly 5.4p / litre cheaper than Tesco , supermarket petrol seems expensive at the moment .
#6
asda is cheapest up in the west of scotland at 98.9p at a few different supermarkets

I am in Crayford near Dartford and the Tescos near here is 4p a litre for unleaded more than the local sainsburys who have just their price upto 98.9 a litre, so the voucher would be a waste of time for me.

sainsburys and shell are cheapest here in ne lincs

What is the 'spend £5 get £25 off a mobile' offer? Is it only on certain phones?

I think this deal is horrible to be honest, lets say for example, that my car has a 40 litre tank, thats 5p x 40, which is a grand saving of £2. £2 of £50 is only 4%!!!!!! This is jus a phantom 4% saving, nothing else, voted neither hot nor cold!
#11
Maybe they will drop the price by 5p once the offers ended...as they put it up by 5p when the offer started :O

"Every little helps" lol. The price of fuel now is disgusting isn't it. You hear Americans complaining about £2 per gallon - what a joke.At least this brings down the price to what it was a few months ago.

Defiantly still on, got a voucher today, it’s valid until December, not too bad, shame its not that great petrol.

A few weeks ago, never mind months ago, petrol was 10% cheaper than it is now, was 90.9p for unleaded around here before the government slapped their 2p tax held over from the budget on, they should really be taking some of that back off as they are picking up another 1p per litre or so in the 6-7p per litre that the oil price increases have gone up in the last few weeks, but more chance of Shergar winning the Derby again than that happening eh

Ah sorry I didn't know - I'm just interested in the situation. I don't drive at the moment, my first tests are in a few months time.

The deal is a sham since Tesco is 3p more than Shell near me. It was cheaper until this offer came along!
#17
personally i think the truckers will bring back the motorway blockades again as its getting beyond a joke now, esp when you go abroad and see that its only TAX that keeps it so expensive in the UK, im sure lots of us have been to spain for example and seen a litre is a lot less in Euro's than we pay for it in ££s never mind the average 1.4 euro exchange rate.

The government should have at least given their portion of the 6-7p rise due to oil prices back to at least try and head off the public taking action but brown will just sit and rub his hands as that extra penny per litre flows into his coffers :-(

But feival is correct as this tesco deal is a sham as Tesco are the most expensive garage in my area.

I think this deal should say £50 not 5p. The deal doesn't cost 5p
#19
Drive in on empty with a jerry can or two and a petrol can :D
#20
Prepare for panic buying when the blockades come into force ;)
#21
I filled up and the 5p off a litre only actually gave me about £1.50 off!

So on about a £30 spend, thats about 5% off - sounds alot off pence per litre, but doesn't work out as much when look at % saving

Damn it they have just put the price of Vegetable Oil up.
