Thanks, Just added some to trolley & given you some rep. Thanks, worth a try at that price, great stand-by
#2
insane price .. thought it might be the value of the value range, but is actually an offer item.

Well spotted.
#3
tins? so not the packs of fresh veg?
#4
For 5p!!!!? Tins are fine...not quite the same but make a great lunch none the less
#5
Saw these today - seeing as I have a small stir-fry everyday for lunch going to give these a go next week instead of the £1 fresh packs I get at the moment :)
#6
beware though, I just got a tesco delivery of 4 cans and 3 of them have an expiry date of next month.
#7
yeah just checked mine and they are BBE Sept 08...but that still gives 5/6 weeks to use them; should be no problem!
#8
These are excellent for making spring rolls with... just a tip! Will check my local store today .
#9
it's a best before date .. surely tinned food has a 'long enought to be indefinite' shelf life.

If it's BBE september 08, it was probably tinned 2 years ago!!

good spot. is it possible to open these cans & freeze the contents to make them last longer? the tesco website says:

no nuts ...

are there any nuts in this? :whistling:

The "cannot guarantee nut free" bit is to cover themselves just in case of cross contamination.

Phew...thanks :santa:

"Best before" is advisory. They have to put something. You'll be fine eating tinned food LONG after this date.

I love nuts. I will only buy if they can guarantee cross contamination. Hot deal though.

Still full price in my local. They're dated sept 08 though so I'll be keeping an eye out.
#23
This was advertised as an offer that would expire on 26/08/08, so they should be back up to full price today. I saw a label for 59p for them today in my local store.

If you are due a delivery today, you should be charged full price, so you are best to check when they are delivered and send them back with the driver if necessary.

SEL 59p last night, 5p this morning.

The result: 24 tins in the boot of my car. :D Cheap student meals ftw.
