That's even cheaper than Asda's at 5p!
#2
Also 4p in Sainsburys
#3
Am just back from Morrisons where it's 5p a jar!

Perhaps I should take it back for a refund?:?
#4
anyone know what it tastes like?? :?
#5
I love it great flavour the one from Asda is just like chinese curry
#6
Its really nice. I use it to use up veggies left over or with minced lamb....its quite delish actually. Couldnt buy all those ingredients for 4 p and the jar must be that alone!

I can certainly vouch for the Morrisons one....
It's cr*p......Tasteless with a weird Jelly-like consistency. I bought 10 jars and through away 9 (well...recycled anyway!!).
Still heat added, because it's cheap for bland jelly like stuff. :-D

Curry is HOT!

How is a 4p value sauce a hot deal?

It's hardly going to be good for you at that price/label, the things some people put into their bodies absolutely revolts me...
#12
Some of the food threads do make me laugh like this one or save 20p on beans Ooooo lol

Curry is HOT!

It's another repost, it's 4p for a tin of s***e. Your right, curry is hot, not all, but most, oh sorry....were you trying to be funny?...Oh I seee.....numpty
#14
I don't know the ingredients but for arguments sake it might not be "bad". They obviously aren't making a profit on this so it's a loss leader. Most likely has a high water content or something to keep the price down but just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's going to be terrible for you.

If you like this then you might also enjoy some of their other super-cheap value foods, such as:

Low Fat Yoghurt - 6p
Instant Noodles - 7p for curry or chicken (but a huge 11p if you prefer bacon)
Instant Custard - 7p
Batter Mix - 8p

However their Baked Beans have gone up a lot and are now over 10p a can... why? :?
#16
Value price yoghurts and curry sauce have actually made me physically sick in the past, so cold for me.

christ on a bike, people need to buy batter mix? Is there anything easier to make than batter?
#27
Maybe batter mix is cheaper than eggs are now!
#28
It's sweet flavoured, with sultana's in it, and a bit of spice - like school dinner curry!

Can't argue with the price though

Why does it bother you so much what other people eat? Its got nothing to do with you.
I suggest you worry about thing's in your own world and let other people do whatever the hell like in their's.

Because kids can't choose their food, their parents put it on a plate in front of them and think nothing of it. I'd never feed my kids this rubbish, and feel sorry for any kids whos parents make it as a dinner for them!

No wonder Britain is becoming a fat nation - cheap, mass produced "food" full of left over rubbish they have no other use for.
#31
Now priced 9p in my store, how about that for inflation!
#32
The Morrisons 5p jars taste awesome!

Didn't go alot on the Tesco's version, mind.
#33
4p ... overpriced for what you get. It's not even good for chips in curry sauce :(
#34
Its nice - I like the value Sweet and Sour Sauce aswell which is about 15p I think :D
#35

i love the value Sweet and sour sauce best i have tasted will have to try this curry
#38
Never mind the curry - if you make jam or chutney etc, there is no cheaper way of getting a jar. Google it and see how much they cost - certainly more than 4p a jar.
