I was In Tesco Durham yesterday and they have the Tesco Value Ironing Board reduced to only £3!! Great buy for anyone on a tight budget.
Took a photo with phone but couldnt upload it, sorry.

Not available at this price online...still £10. May be store specific, not sure...anyone clarify this by having a look in their local stores. Thanks.

As soon as I saw the title, I just knew there'd be at least one of these...

Wow could that pic BE any bigger?!

I can't find it on the website. I looked under "Sports and Leisure" - it is the wifes hobby after all!!! :whistling:

Joking aside, I did break ours last week - that's what happens when you let a bloke loose with an iron...!!!

They are flimsy. OK for the occaisional use but I had a look at them and thought they probably wouldn't last very long. It's one of those things were it might be cheaper in the long run to buy something better made rather than buy a cheap one every year or so. I guess that's why people are voting cold.

Oh, and also your comment "Why the cold votes???" probably got you a few more cold votes! :whistling: People just don't seem to like it when OPs get all defensive about their posts. It's just a deal. It gets voted hot or cold. That's how this site works.

Personally I think it's hard to beat for someone starting a home with no budget though and if it breaks in the first year then just take it back to Tesco for a replacement.

I read that in the voice of Paul Whitehouse's 'Old Git' character in the Harry Enfield show.

p.s. Heat. It's cheap. But it looks flimsy, so I don't think it would suffice for extreme ironing.

extreme, as in ironing in the buff?

it is cheap for a reason !

buying this = trashing the planet because it doesn't last long !

actually come to think about it £3 for trashing the planet has never been cheaper !

I doubt it. There's only one board and iron per hotel and despite only being able to borrow it for 1 hour it never seems to be available when I want one.
