These are pretty good players - brought one at least 3 years ago for over 10 quid still works fine, quite a nice gloss black finish

what's a cd player?

Good question! I vaguely remember them, they play those CD's (stands for Cheap Doo-da I think? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong?) a bit like those LP thingies from way back, only smaller and shinier I think? :?

That's so last century...millennium I meant
What a rip off...Tesco should pay us to use these things instead of expecting anyone to buy them

I am amazed this is hot. Who carries CD players around nowdays? Can't see one of these fitting in your pocket like an ipod and to be fair, I would be embarrassed to be seen with one :w00t:

I think when we're talking about quality source then whatever device sounds best to you as music is very subjective.

I think its cringeworthy when I see someone using the stock ipod headphones.

My portable rig at the moment has dropped the RSA amp so I'm just using the ipod and westone um2's.

Hope your mp3's are lossless :) or that CD player may sound much better :whistling:

mp3 files are lossy not lossless. So unless you are playing FLAC or wav etc, then a CD would sound better in theory but with this being such a cheap item, who knows what it would really sound like. Bargain though, voted hot.

I remember when you'd pay £100 for a cassette walkman (I'm not that old, 27) and I'm sure there are plenty of people who would put this to good use even though I (and I suspect a lot of people here) am not one of them.
