Tesco Value Soap £0.13 for 3 bars

I can't believe that this offer hasn't been spotted before. 13p for 3 bars of soap. No strong perfume but it does what soap is supposed to do!!

I suppose that now it will be sold out every time I need some, or be taken off the shelf because people are no longer forking out for the perfumed stuff.

It does what it says on the tin - and I thought they were great for stocking up the backpacks being sent out to the children in Malawi, so that they are able to go to school. Each contained a school uniform, pens & pencils in a pencil case, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and a ball etc.

I should think so as it's probably made up of 50% sand!

Bet that will cause chafing AND soreness!

i assume this is what me and my family refer to 'squeeky' soap... as in your skin literally squeeks when you rub it..

Made in 1939

I'd be interested to know how many of the people attacking this soap have actually tried it. I've been using it for ages because it doesn't have any fancy moisturisers and fragrances. My skin has no problems at all. In fact, I suspect fancy soaps are more likely to cause problems.

All the dermatologists must love this.....They will be getting some more patients

...What?

This stuff is fine.
I use it for hand washing with no problems.
Sure I paid more than 13p for it, so heat added.

Wow, that has 'meat' in it?

I noticed on the website that Sainsburys have curry sauce at 4p a jar. I forgot to look instore, but wonder if it might make a bargain filling for cheese toasties

There is a difference between something that is cheap and something that is a deal.

Doubt it.
Lidl 13p shower gel made my hands go red.
This soap doesn't.

It is only 10p for 3 bars of soap in Asda.

You have soapicious mind
#26
The soap is fine, it lathers well and does the job you expect. Only difference I find is a bar doesn't last too long compared to branded ones.
#27
thanks, might as well buy some for emergencies.last week i ran out of soap and had to use antibacterial washing up liquid which made my hands so rough and sore!!
#28
they will probably make you dirty instead of clean

Not necessary. It's made from animals. Look up sodium tallowate.

EVERYTHING has BEEN tested on animals at some point! :-(
Seeing as soap has been around since Mediaeval times, Tesco weren't around back then, it just feels as if they have been around that long!

Same here. Good value for money though, even if it only lasts through a few dirty hands and faces, before it gets chucked down the toilet or used to wash toy tractors!!

They most certainly do. They just don't test THEIR own brand non-food stuffs on animals.

EDIT: But maybe that's what you meant...
