Just spotted this instore tonight (may be new today). Thanks to jamjar for the full listing given below - better selection than my store had and some very drinkable plonk in there to suit most tastes I think - you might want to get in there while the full selection is still available.

Not quite as good as the recent deal I tried to post with yummy ("£9.99" claimed) NZ Marlborough Sauv Blanc for £2.83/bottle (got incorrectly spammed) but not bad either, especially if you normally shop at Tesco and don't have an Asda nearby.

Thanks also to those who've pointed out the 'double up' deals now running on Clubcard rewards. Means you can effectively halve the price again if you have enough vouchers.

Finally (with thanks to Marlovian), if the 5% off 6 bottles deal is based on a higher original price rather than the £20 offer you may find the price comes in lower still. Let us know on this one.

also you wont get more heat without specifics and competitors prices, its just a bit vague, going to -8 means only 1 person has voted so its not like everyone is against you have +9 from me

Thanks - how do you do that?

I dont know myself, but I think the amount of heat you can give to a deal is dependant on either your post count or reputation?

I spotted this today too whilst doing my online shopping. Got three bottles of Echo Falls Zinfandel for a tenner, thats me sorted for the week haha!

I bought 12 bottles last Friday (Blossom Hill - red) & doubled my clubcard rewards + a "wine discount" ? of £3.06
I only ended up paying £16.94 :-D

They've had a similar deal at my local Asda for months, I'm sure it must have been posted a few times. Just go for the £8 stuff not the £4 stuff. Might not always taste too different (not to me at any rate) but it makes you feel good.

If you buy 6 bottles you get 5% off of the full price of the wines, not £20 so it is always less than £19.50.

Ah, thanks. That explains why 6 bottles of the Kiwi Sauv Blanc came to only £17 when that was on (they claimed it was a £9.99 wine). However, they have actually posted this as £19 for 6 in the store - I didn't think they were making any 'original price' claims on these ones though Beekeeper's post may suggest otherwise.

Fantastic, thanks. Saved me another trip to the store! I don't think my local store had all of these either. You need to shop carefully on the list for best value, but hey if it's your thing then go for it. So Blue Nun and Black Tower are still out there then - a taste of the seventies (and memories of some early hangovers!).

Mentioned in original post. I've had some great deals from Asda this way but last time I looked the selection was pretty poor.

Thanks for the heat people - at last I've got a deal that's flying - you've restored my faith in HUKD after many frustrating attempts to 'break through'!

good deal would vote hot but unsure how, anyone???

I'm inclined to believe that. (edit: I was wrong, see below) I can no longer see 3 for 10 listed in the online grocery store, but I could see it online and in the store (not that they had much left) at the weekend.

So, erm, get your coat quick if you want this deal!

They do have some 2 for £10 ones http://www.tesco.com/superstore/product/promo.aspx?prodId=55518986 if that link works (edit: log in at http://www.tesco.com/superstore then you should be able to click on that link). Most expensive is £9.99 so that would be £27 for 6 with the 5% discount by my calculations.

No surprise that the cheapest offer, for the exact price of a double up voucher (you have to spend an exact multiple of £10 or pay the difference in cash - no overspending with the voucher and certainly no change from it!), disappears now.

Ah well I can still get Tesco Chilean Merlot 75cl which isn't on offer 1 for £3.29 or 3 for £9.87 or 6 for £18.75, I like that well enough!

On my grocery shopping page it says the offer is valid for deliveries on and up to 2nd June, so I assume this is the same instore...

That's what I see on 2 for £10, but 3 for £10 isn't listed under wine offers any more. There is a pic of it on the front grocery page but it just links to the wine offers list with no 3 for £10 in the list...

But I just searched for a wine from the list you posted, and it is indeed in the 3 for £10 offer that exists until 2 June (making my previous long post pointless) but isn't listed on the offers page for some reason! http://www.tesco.com/superstore/product/promo.aspx?prodId=63847889

Anyway, most expensive wines in 3 for £10 are £8.99, so with 5% off the full price that means 6 for as little as £17.30

edit: and offer does indeed start today. Don't know if it's the same as the 3 for £10 selection I saw at the weekend.

Posted 3 minutes ago and it's gone to minus 8 without any comments! Infantile!

Why do I bother trying to share deals - it's decent if not earth shattering. If it's not for you just ignore and move on.

Think I'll just revert to taking good deals off this site and not bother trying to return the favour. WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!

This wine is not worth even the cheapest price you can get it for at tesco.

The producing countries ship all the rubbish to the UK because they know the Brits are daft enough to buy it.

Their own locals wouldn't even use it to s.h.i.t. in !!

Thank you for your support! Are you owning up as a 'ghost cold voter' then? This wasn't a one off fit of pique - until now I've had several attempts at posting worthwhile deals wiped out by the mystery frozen finger.

Fortunately I've reached an age where being told to grow up is almost as much of a compliment as it would be to be asked for ID in the pub (unfortunately that hasn't happened in a looooong time!).

What I (and many others I notice) can't comprehend is why people vote cold on perfectly good deals without the courtesy or potential added value of saying why. If there's something wrong with it we all need to know, if people just don't like it - move on. This is a great site which is sometimes spoiled by these guerilla tactics. The practical problem is it can block some decent deals from reaching a bigger audience.

The point is that anyone can do as I did for many months and just take deals off the site without putting anything back. When people take the trouble to contribute they need a bit of encouragement as it's in the best interests of all who review HUKD.

Anyone agree?

Very many thanks for letting us know this invaluable information.

Thank you Jancis for your well considered comment!

You obviously haven't read past the Blue Nun then? Of course they're not 'fine wines' for little more than the price of a pint of fizzy designer lager, but some of them are decent everyday (drink responsibly!) plonk and I suggest your view is in a tiny minority.

We'd all love to know what you would recommend instead. Please share your wisdom with us poor ignorant souls.

You are absolutely correct, of course. But don't waste your time trying to change the habits of such morons. I gave up a long time ago.

I have found it best to just put your deal on here, in the spirit of HUKD, and then ignore the ratings. In the scale of things, it just ain't worth raising your blood pressure.

So if you don't have much 'rep' you get less heat for posting? If that is the case then i certainly won't post any more deals and will just browse here for deals.

Good advice, thanks - I'll reserve my 'frustration' for the House of Commons from now on then!

If I change £10 worth of vouchers into a £20 off wine voucher, what happens if I get the 6 bottles for £19 - do I get any change or do I just lose the other £1?

I don't know if it's different for an online reward token, but for the instore 'double up' reward tokens that is incorrect. If you have a £20 reward token, you cannot purchase something for £19. You have to spend at least £20 on qualifying products, and pay for any difference in cash/plastic.

The only points 'change' you get back onto your card is if you used £11 worth of vouchers to get a £20 reward token. But as I say, maybe it is different for the online reward tokens.

I just checked, it isn't different! you can't use £20 to pay for £19.

(edit: actually, that's quite obvious when you think of it, otherwise you could use £10 in vouchers to get a £20 wine token, buy £10 worth of wine, and get your original £10 put back onto your points card in change!!!)

You have my sypathy mate. It's taken me several attempts to break through the initial danger zone where the mystery frozen finger of fate hovers over deals waiting to kill them before they get going. Maybe it's an alternative to spraying graffiti around the estate on wet nights?

This is the first deal I've managed to get into the 'hot zone' - it's restored my faith in the HUKD community!

sorry in advance for sounding stupid but if you order 6 bottles of wine online do you get 5% taken off? i have never heard of this. thanks in advance. heat and rep added.

The wife and I have been drinking these for weeks. Keep going back to the local Tescos to stock up. As well as the 3 for 10 pounds, there's also some great wines for half price, about 4 or 5 pounds.

I've been rating the wines, and here's the ones I reckon are bargains for 3 for 10 pounds:
Hardy's 1853 Merlot Varietal Range 2008
Ogio Primitivo Red
Ogio Pinot Grigio - a very refreshing nice white great for picnics
Melbourne Cab Merlot

Don't buy these:
Rosso Meridiana Lagioiosa Etamorosa
Blossom Hill Signature Blend California Red
JP Chenet
Big Kahuna red

And, if you want to spend 4.99, go for the Marques De Carano Red, which is half price, but our favourite.

Hope this helps.
