had this deal few years ago for 14 something. great service didnt have a single issue throughout. would have stayed if i hadn't got a better deal from another provider.
Much though I detest TalkTalk, I'm saddened to find that this deal is only £2 per month less than my current cost.
Second year is fully THREE pounds a month more expensive! oO
That is of course ignoring the almost obligatory increases that they will both apply to these figures!
Quite disappointed in this Tesco deal really, since I find my mobile contract with them to be excellent, both in terms of value and service.
There are few cashback deals which will offset the cost of the broadband and some of the line rental costs - that's probably why people are voting cold. This is decent tho for people who can't be bothered crossing fingers for cashback.
Currently only playing £12.50 a month with Sky as new customer, bet that will increase massively at end of year
Heat added op, looks good to me, not due for renewal until April though

The Chromecast is an awesome piece of kit for the price, with a combination of apps you can pretty much stream anything. And for any stream watchers out there.. for Twitch tv, you can get a new app called Lakitu that replaces Twitch and has a Chromecast option. For MLG tv, you can use an app called Web Video Caster and use the built-in browser to find your video stream, then just send it to Chromecast and watch in HD and with no ads.

You can get a chromecast with a series for under £20 and broadband a rental a lot cheaper with new customer deals.

Link please ..... thanx. :-)

I think he was refering to the Wuaki deal when a Chromecast was £18.99 with The Blacklist. This offer is no longer available, the cheapest is £24.99 now on there.

Is it £5 Blinkbox credit per month or just a one off?

Just a one off i think.

Weird bashing because Tesco seem to get the better reviews of the bigger names

http://www.ispreview.co.uk/review/top50.php
Avoid Tesco. They really don't care about their customers. Waited 4 weeks for changeover to new house and engineer never showed. Tesco never told me why but texted me at 2.30am to tell me there was a problem. When I called the next day (4th phone call) they told me it would be another 2 weeks.Told them to cancel the whole thing and went to Carphone Warehouse

There is always a deal better than the advertised deal with all companies.
It is all down to how much a company wants your new or retained business.

Last year Sky gave me, and a load of other O2 customers, satellite dish, box & Entertainment Package, broadband, line rental with calls and M&S £25 voucher all for free. Zero for a year and get to keep all the equipment.

This year, after cancelling the TV side and a bit of bartering, free line rental.
I pay £7.50 for BB and £5 for anytime calls so £12.50 total.
No doubt there will be other people who have done better/worse.
You need to know exactly what is available with other companies before you phone any of them.
EE seems to be one of the cheapest advertised at the moment.
It is looking like there are better retention deals than for attracting new customers.

Bill
just reminded me my free year is up soon, so will see what they offer me.

I phoned to cancel my tv and broadband and received a letter a couple of days later offering me the tv for 50% off but I had to pay £7.50 + line rental for broadband. I am continuing to cancel (holding out hopefully for a better deal).
Good deal but al stick with my 70mb+ virgin media :)

Link goes nowhere.

I have just tried it, worked ok for me maybe
1) the link was down at the time you tried it try now
2) If it still doesn't work try a) restart your device if you haven't done so by now, b) clear your cookies, c) Try another device, d) try another ISP go to a hot spot eg McDonalds or your friends/relative's house

Thanks, its working now. I think it may have been a HUKD affiliate link problem.

"friendly UK call centre" You are ******* kidding arent you ? X)

If they are friendly they sure as hell werent recruited from the miserable barstewards who man the in store customer service desks that for sure.

I'm currently with sky. Pay £27 per month for line rental and rubbish broadband speed and intermittent connection. I don't think this could be any worse for me!
you lucky as i am with sky and paying £20 for fibre and 5.50 for calls and 15.40 for line rental, service is appalling and cannot wait until my contract ends.
We have been with them for about 18 months now and even as an existing customer they let us switch onto this deal at no extra cost (just another 12 months contract).
Great customer service, UK staff and never had a problem with speed. Great deal & save a fortune plus Clubcard points!
deewbee
avoid at all costs, poor speeds, very erratic, rubbish customer service, cuts out frequently, was so glad when I could move from Tesco to TalkTalk
You know things were bad when TalkTalk is an improvement!!!

£35 one off fee (this is for £30 activation charge + £5 router postage)
If that's the case then that's a deal-breaker -- makes it £18.32 a month. Can get something better elsewhere.
TheBiker
I left Tesco phone/broadband because broadband was slow and I was forever rebooting the router. Could not recommend despite cheap price. I ended up paying more (BT) but speed is better and no more constant reboots.

I guess it goes against the mainstream here but cheapest is not always the best and this is an example.

BEWARE
As I said before. I currently pay £27 for broadband and line rental and this is rubbish so expensive isn't always good either.

Does anyone know if you can get a reduction by paying Line Rental up front for the 12 months
I got £50 cb for doing it through quidco.
Includes free evening calls. Don't forget you can get a good topcashback deal on EE for example (I got £100+). Only £2.50/month for first 12 months. Unlimited download, weekend calls only, 12 month line rental £121 I think)
