I have just booked this for tomorrow morning and it is a fasting diabetes test, always best to check before telling everyone it won't be any good as 'it won't be a fasting one' :p

Many people have diabetes and aren't aware so I think it is brilliant to be offering this for free, i wouldn't book a GP Appointment just for a check up, so this is Hot from me :-)

free at your gp and probably best to get this done on empty stomach (before breakfast) or else the diabetes screening is pretty much pointless.
right, but you're just avoiding the wait if yours is busy. It just may be more convenient to someone.

This Explains About Fasting Blood Sugars Test
http://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes_care/fasting-blood-sugar-levels.html
The test won't be a fasting one at this stage. Just a random test, then if it looks like there may be a problem from the result you would be advised to see you GP for further investigation.
Fasting Blood Sugars may then be done but only if you have had a test result indicating there may be a problem.

Yes Thanks.
I'm Aware My Wife is a Nurse (Diploma in Diabetes Care) & Our Son Has Type 1 Diabetes since 11years,
It's right to point out that the chemist offers a random test, only your GP can determine if you have Diabetes. ;)

Not strictly true. I would agree that a fasting sample is better but more so for the cholesterol check. Blood sugar values have upper limits for fasting and non-fasting so even if you've eaten it shouldn't be higher than the given value. Cholesterol however will be higher if you had a full-cooked in the Tesco cafe before the health check (_;)
agree its all worthwhile but in reality if you need any treatment or serious advice you will be referred to your GP surgery who will repeat the tests again.

It would have made more sense to make a comment within an existing Destiny/Tesco/Clubcard deal than make it into it's own deal. That's why.
Why are people so harsh, the bloke has only posted to help/remind people you can save a few quid if you use cc boost. It a not ridiculous, maybe a duplicate and applies to more than Destiny but so what.

This is quite the ridiculous post.

Not sure why it's so ridiculous, I paid £20 for Destiny so I thought I'd share it with others. I specified that this only applies to a very small number of people.

Because it's not a deal. The club card boost can be applied to not just Destiny and relates to a small minority.

Fair enough, thought it may be helpful to some people. Obviously not!

Its a pre order anywhere because the game isnt out yet. If youve ordered from tesco expecting it to ship before the game is released then sit down, because ive got some bad news for you :(

Not to shabby. If your not interested in infamous or in no rush for a PS4. Then Gamestop have PS4 + Watch_Dogs for a little bit cheaper.

I always find Topcashback more reliable now and they will always guarantee to match the Quidco amount if anyone prefers them.Tried doing it twice and worked both times and of course you will be £5 better off as Topcashback don't charge a £5 annual fee.

How did you get them to price match with quidco.

If you can find a better rate of cashback for your purchase from another online cashback provider, then we will match the rate if you choose to use TopCashback for the transaction.

1. http://www.topcashback.co.uk/account/enquiries
2. go to Highest Cashback Guarantee & click view
3. click submit and scroll to the bottom

or just click here http://www.topcashback.co.uk/Help/76

you dont need to pay to know how to lose weight

theres information all over the internet....or just visit a local gym who will provide you with any info you need regards what to eat etc...
Check Tesco website/latest magazine as when they last promoted this they were giving away free bonus points for joining.
MyfitnessPal is free and has an app to use on the go with a built in scanner.

It's so hard to stick to diets when you see really good deals for sweet things on here! Ah well, I will either buy for DH or stockpile for when I can enjoy them! I am committed this time!

I signed up for this a couple of days ago when it was 6 weeks for £12.90, with 500 clubcard points and £20.00 cashback on Quidco.
I have to say, I was a bit sceptical of what the diet plan actually included but went for it anyway seeing as I would be getting £20 cashback. So far, I've been really impressed with what I've seen. If you join make sure you watch the tour as it gives great info on the meal plans.
I'm rubbish with diets, but this one looks really good so far: tasty recipes that you can adapt if you want to, an easy click and track system (where you can track if you've been a bit naughty too!) and it creates your shopping list for Tesco/ Asda/ Morrisons etc so you don't get tempted by too many bargains.

Phew, feel like a tesco diets saleswoman after that, I don't usually comment on deals, but was shocked to see it being rated so low, and wanted to let you know, I think it's worth it.

im the same! i normally have no willpower but I love the way this diet taylors around your eating habits. worth a go and the clubcard points will come in handy for days out :)

hi i was going out to buy my son some protein for his bday is this the stuff i need

No. It is massively overpriced. This deal is reasonable, but still overpriced. You will pay for the maximuscle branding/marketing.

Get some of this: http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/impact_whey_protein

Choc smooth is a nice flavour. Unflavoured is like milk.

Also, use the urlhttp://www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk in the myprotein pricematcher and you'll get 5KG of flavoured for £39.00http://www.myprotein.com/uk/pricematch.aspx so £7 off their normal price. This works out at £8 per kilo and is not reliant on "offers". Normally you would be paying at least 3x that price for maximuscle
Actually that is a fab deal. Not sure if they charge for postage, thou 5kg tub works out at 7.20per kg, with out postage. I had some holland barret stuf, and i dont think that stuf works at all.
